Macca - welcome to the forum and don't be anxious this program really works and work well. I lost 12kgs in my first month but i also have 4 times to loss tha what you do. 15kgs should be a snap for you but it will take sometime as your body works hard to get its metabolic balance right. I highly recommend this program, so just go for it girl, you want be sorry you did especially now as summer is just aound the corner.
Less of me - Congratulations on the loss of another 6kgs. You are still my inspiration so well done to you.
Neski - My heart goes out to you. I have also had irregular cycles before (pre children) and now since being on cohens. If you are really concerned go and see your doctor earlier but it should sort itself out because your body is going through so many changes at the moment. I' sorry to hear about your dog, i really know what it is like to put an animal down i have done it twice and it is not easy, so my heart goes out to you but do know that you are doing the best for your dog but that doesn't take away the pain- i give you a hug and just know i'm thinking of you. Please keep you chin up life will get better, even with your weight loss.
BAM - have you started your program yet?

Well keep up your spirits (give yourself a reward even for a small thing), drink lots of water and get some good sleep happening.

Cheers Jewls

HI all, I had my 4 week weigh in and blood test on wednesday, I have lost 12kg.I dont think anyone has noticed the loss yet, but my best friend said because I wear such baggy clothes its very hard to notice but she can notice it in my face. Most of my weight has been lost off my bust, that doesnt bother me but I really want to loose it off my stomach and hips! I am really worried my loss is going to slow down now, my consultant said that it may not and I could even lose another 10 kg in my second month! I am finding some days killers and other days so easy. When I read all the wonderful posts it motivates me so much. Keep up the good work all and good luck , we will all succeed at what we want to achieve

Focus on the Goal!

Haven't posted in ages! Hang in there everyone. It's just for a season, a short time in our lives!
BAM I just had my 12 week blood test today and I have lost 31.8kg. I am only half way but I had stuck with it 100% - It's worth it.
This weekend will be the first time I am going out for lunch. First time I won't weigh my food. I'm hoping to have lost my 63kg in 6 months, that makes it around November. Just in time for summer!

Exclamation

Ladies who live in MELBOURNE there will be another coffee morning at Smoken Joes, 305 Maroondah Hwy, Ringwood on the 26th August at 9.30am
We had the first this morning and it was great. Everyone talked about the success, trials and what they are looking forward to, so I encourage everyone in Melbourne to come and have a cuppa, meet people who are doing what you are. We all need encouragement and support and this is another way to do that, so be an inspiration or come to learn from the experience of others.

Hope to see you all the
cheers Jewls

Helo everyone! Yes, I am still here. Been very quiet on posting, but still interested in what is happening to people. You all seem to be doing so well!

Have just updated my ticker and pleased that I am finally into single digits. Two weeks ago I lost nothing, and this week it was 1.4 which was the highest since about week 25!! That brought my 4 weekly weight loss to 3.4 which is really good for me at this stage. Still not sure if I can make my goal by the date I will be stopping, but it will be pretty close. And I think at 67 weeks I will truly need the break - apart from that I have plans - residential conferences and holidays - so lookout, I can't wait!

Although I have been a bit slack about the gum and the diet soft drink, I still haven't changed anything else and all meals have been just as they should be. I really am looking different after all this time. And I feel really good at the moment.

Am so aware of all the people who have drifted off, and often wonder if they are still going and what's happening. I am sure some of them still check the forum, as do some of the people who have done refeed.

I noticed that Mel is changing her ticker and getting down there - and the wedding is only 2 months away - hope things are going well, and would love to hear from you. How are you doing Moni, myshy and cryss? And loads of others? What about i CaN i WiLL? moneypenny? rjm? Tash*?ridiculous? divinemissnat?also Miss Kath? And so many others who have finished. Would be great to know how you are.

And the old me - are you getting through your Sundays and moving on? How is your weight going gayegel? L-Jay what is happening for you and have you been able to get back on track? And where are you Magiclea? Is it still a battle mumbine? Sorry I can't mention you all, but I am interested.

So great about your result Mitmary7 you are doing fantastic! 4ukids and Less of me as well - good for you! Jewls, you are still the encourager and getting there too. DeDe23 you are sure doing it tough with surgery - certainly hope things improve for you. And so sorry to hear your difficulties netski, sounds so difficult for you. Just hang in there, it will balance out - and it is sad for you about your dog. Can't believe you have had such rotten luck gayegel - hope that is your share for a long time to come!!

Welcome macca1 - it will be quite a journey, but certainly worth it.

Well, take care of yourselves and remember you are doing this for yourselves - for your health and well-being and it is worth all the effort. This is your life and it is worth living to the best of your ability. So be encouraged and go for it!!

One month Weigh in....

Hey ladies.. I had my one month weigh in last night.. and a total of 5.4kg lost in the first month.. not a lot i know... but considering that it was an interim program and the most impt thing is having my blood sugar level getting into control.. i am happy enough.. and I might be able to go on the actual program once everything is okie with the blood test that i went through this morning.....
I am definitely looking into losing more than that if i really go on the actual program... and I was told that having vitamin drink with fruit flavour would actual slow down my weight and getting sick would also... so I have bought some vitamin pills and hopefully i would get into a better health and I would lose more weight...
Alright.. enough of my grumbling... Take care all!!!

Lightbulb This is not good...

Okay, this is really hard to do. But i'm stopping the diet! I am so sad about it as i thought it was my answer and i'm so annoyed cause i paid the bucks.

This is why though. I really do have an eating disorder and this is really compounding the problem. I feel like maybe cohens should assess you phsychologically in this way instead of just taking anyone's money. This was something i really worried about before i signed up and it really was my last ditch effort. I have to face it now, i'm sick and i need help from professionals. It's not just a 'bad day' or lacking motivation. I have a disorder and it's not something i can just get over. So, next week, i'm teeing something up with a clinic and that will be it for me.

It's strange cause i'm really disappointed about the program but i'm excited to confront all those issues i've been dealing with for ten years. I'm going to find myself again instead of hiding in my fat and food.

So.....Good Luck to all of you. Keep you're chin up and don't be too hard on yourself. It doesn't help anything!!!

The Lord is directing me and I know that my recovery from this eating disorder will be looked after from start to finish. The fact that i've finally admitted my problem (in detail to my husband ), is the lord guiding my thoughts.

God Bless you all.

Melisa

Smile Good Luck!

Mumbine I am sad to hear that you have decided to stop doing the program , but reasured that you seem to have some idea of where to turn to next. I am sure by what you have said that this was not a spur of the moment decision. I am also positive that you are not the only one who has paid out a large ammount of cash for a weight loss program or treatment and never seen the results that were hoped for. I wish for you now a path you can take one step at a time on, one which will eventually lead you to where you want to be.
Good luck now and in the future to you and your family. Take care of yourself.

Mumbine, thanks for filling us in. And ditto to everything that Less of me just said. This must have been such a huge step to take. I really do pray for you some healing of this and some positive way forward. No matter what, there will be some answers. Just keep remembering as well that you are a precious person, and worth whatever it takes.
Lots of blessings on you!

hello friends

well as another week comes slowely to an end, i'd like to as always start by thanking everyone for their honesty on this forum and their lovely and well thought out replies.

most of you i will never meet but i feel so privaledged to be part of one of the most important journeys of your life, thankyou.

Mumbine-You are a true inpiration to all women, mothers and wives . It must be a really difficuly, yet empowering thing to be able to open up to the ones you love the most and ask for their help , forgiveness and love. No doubt they will all be there for you every small step of the way. Never be affraid to ask for help i hope you learn and grow into a stronger woman.

sassysapphire86- Thankyou for you advice and your heart felt thoughts. I'll try switching dinner and breakfast this week and not use ANY salt. Your current weight is very close to my startig weight and your goal is close to mine. Let me tell you your body is going to start changing in such increadible ways watch out!!!!

Jewls- i'm glad that i'm not the only one with weird cycles. Was yours caused by anything like PCOS or was there any explanation?

To everyone else keep up the good work. Start coming to the realisation that what you're doing now is a change FOR LIFE in 2 regards firstly the lessons you learn and eating habits you change will need to stay wth you forever so as not to deviate back to your old weight and also it to extend the quality and length of time we live for. With great fmaily and friends isn't that worth fighting for?

Hi Everyone

Just a quick ticker update... having something to update keeps me on track. Not long to go now... under the "10kg TO GO" mark and have finally cracked the 70kg barrier that seemed so elusive for so long. I'm giving myself 8 more weeks then i'm ordering my refeed. I can almost taste the pumpkin soup I'm going to have when I finish... YAY

Sorry to see you go Mumbine... you really do have to be mentally prepared before you commence the program and 100% emotionally commited while doing it and if you have other issues going on, that commitment falters. Best of luck to you in whatever you do, but don't rule this diet out in the future after you work on those issues that plague you because as you can see... 100+ people who have posted on the forum since it started have had success and you can have success too.

Good to see everyone else doing so well.

Stay focused and positive!

Mumbine: I am sorry that you are not going to be in Cohen. On the bright side, you have finally discovered the reason of your problem and is seeking the right help for this. Although I am not quite sure how the cohen clinic is like in your area but I must say that your sentence is not exactly fair. Cohen lifestyle is mainly about fixing hormone misbalance but what you have is a physchological problem. They are not physchologist so they can't just assess people on this level. No expert knows everything.

Anyway, its good that you have decided to find a solution to overcome your eating disorder. Do perserve in the treatment and come back to Cohen to lose the extra pounds. Healthy lifestyle comes in both physical and mental as a whole.

Questions

Hi everyone.

I am new to the forum.

Has anyone ever lost weight with Cohen's, then put it back on, gone back to the program and lost it again.

I lost 35kg, two years ago. Have put most (NOT ALL) back on. I would like to give it another go, but can't afford the big bucks at the moment. Just wondering if this would work.

Thanks
