am new to typing but not to forum or cohens, i just read quietly from sidelines but wanted to offer some assistance.
baby egg- the sugar levels are an issue and was wondering if you had considered seeing a doctor for them anyway, it is better to control them in some form ie medication if that is what you need to get them down. I have diabetes (non insulin type) and was never questioned about sugar levels and program but i do keep my levels within acceptable ranges. The blood sugar monitors are sold at most pharmacies in Australia (we have special pharmacies for diabetes Australia but i do believe the pharmacy down near the foodcourt in Raffles Plaza may be a diabetic chemist (from memory). Here they cost around $50 which includes some test strips.
Hope it helps but wanted to urge you to see a doctor about it if possible, they can run overall bloodtests et to check everything out!
Cheers all, will shrink back into my hole now!

Mel: Just had to say how great to hear from you! So glad you have persevered with this and stuck to it from the old day. You looked lovely before, and now you just sparkle! I am sure it makes a difference to how you view yourself and and how you dress, and everything really. Isnt it amazing how we can feel like a different person? I am just thrilled for you, and the wedding dress looks fantastic too!! He is some lucky guy cos you seem like a very focused determined and loving person on the inside as well as a really lovely person on the outside. I am looking forward to hearing about your great day - and the other great day when you reach your Cohen's goal. Good for you - you have so much to be proud of!! And thank you for the photos.
Glad to see so many others persevering. Sad to hear about your blood sugar levels Babyegg, and I am sure a doctor will be able to help you to get that under control. Mitmary7, baby 81 and jayce you are doing so well - you are all well on the way. Glad you are still here giving sound advice Magiclea, and keep persevering you will get there. Hi to you big daddy!! Rep Power: 0 | | Hi guys,
Good to hear from you big daddy Now not so big. You've done really well. Congrats and keep it up. Mel WOW What a stunner. The dress is gorgeous and with your lovely sparkly eyes you are a picture to behold. Congratulations, no wonder you couldn't wait to give us a sneak preview. All the best for the big day. Hope the dressmaker can take it in for you as I'm sure you will be even smaller by then. lizzie Gosh refeed. I hadn't really given it a thought as I think it'll still be awhile away yet. Their set weight for me was 58/61kg but I originaly put my own goal at 70kg's but as it's getting closer I may keep going and try for 65kg. Will wait and see when I get to 70kg.
How are you finding it now, still a bit of a slog? Your ticker is getting quite close to the end as well. Keep it up. the old me How are you going these days? Haven't heard much from you lately. Hope all's going well.
Well another weekend looms up and so to anyone who is going out try, try, and try hard to stick to your guns and remember, "One wrong meal is worth another 21 meals". Wow whoever said that wasn't wrong as it only takes a couple of minutes to eat the wrong thing and another week to get it off and loose more so it's really not worth it. I have found myself thinking of that line a couple of times this week and it has really helped.
Cheers. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | just came back from my clinic appt... I've lost another 3 kg, which was great. cause my home scales weren't showing that much! So, thats a total of 8.2kg, in just under 3 weeks, and I've lost quite afew cm as well, but can't remember exactly how much. I know I've lost 10cm from my bust!
VEry exciting! and that was even with going out for so many meals, and having 2 small pieces of birthday cake!
Tomorrow hubby and I are going away for the night, so I've organised the hotel to make special meals for me.... hope that works out!

Rep Power: 0 | | Mel You look BEAUTIFUL. Congratulations. Thanks for sharing your photos. Hope we get one from the special day.
Day 64 yeasterday and I ventured out for my first restraunt meal. It took a while to figure out the best option and after having a chat to the owner settled on grilled fish and undressed salad with balsamic on the side. I think the fish may have been a little over in weight ( best guess 20gms,I had it all any way). It was delicious BUT even after asking for minimal oil to be used in the cooking I could see it on the fish. Dabbed it with my serviette and had two less crackers and missed one apple from daily allownace to try and balance the intake.I also had alot of water at and after the meal. I was a little nervous this morning when I weighed in at home, but to my surprise I had my second greatest 24hour loss in nine weeks 1.3 kilos. VERY happy
Needed to buy a new bra yesterday cup size is still the same but size dropped from 24 to 18, so many more styles to choose from, it was almost fun, expecting it to be more fun in another 20kg loss.
My sister made be laugh out loud yesterday she said that my weight loss was like watching time lapse photography in real time. I thought that was very funny. Also sent a face shot to a friend in Perth on email and when she opened it we were chatting on the phone and she just shrieked in disbelief. I can see it but I didnt think it was a dramatic as she thought. I think that it sometimes takes others to remind us how far we have travelled on our journey. Until next time stay focussed organized and positive. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Cold...Flu having the flu has put me in a lull of loss atm. but i am just on a downer as not feeling crash hot, am at work and eyes won't stop watering... I have now got in my closet, Instead of too small piles of clothes i have started the too big piles. This is very motivating as every time i think something looks like a tent i just wash and fold it up to put it out off site out of mind. I have just started to wear clothes that i wore for a friends 21st birthday (3yrs ago) and infact is was the smallest shirt i have in my wardrobe... and yes it is looking like a tent. The skirt actually now falls around my thighs which when working with a workshop full of blokes not a good look. Went to perth last weekend for brother in laws wedding. When i put on the bridesmaid dress we actually had to lace the back of it up and then tuck the folds under it so nobody could see it!!! Went to a mates housewarming who we haven't seen in 8 months and when he hugged me he felt me up and then again when we left!!! It felt good to see their faces and also to see how possitive they all were. Hubby's best mate we saw next his partner stood at the door and squeeled. It really bought home that we are changing. even if we cant see it it was obvious that others could.
Enough of my bantering. (It has actually made me feel a bit better to get it of my chest)
Good luck and best wishes with our lifestyle change
Excitement will hit me in just under 9kg's when i hit the 100 mark!!
