Rep Power: 0 | | coke or coffee... Hi there people
Have been watching your thread for a while. I fell off the wagon a little while ago after losing about 35kg. Same old story - work, functions, social events... pretty much life got in the way. I was posting on the The Lounge forum until that was closed down.
Tomorrow is day 1 again. I've yet to jump on the scales to see what damage I've done since Christmas... so I'm waiting a couple of weeks until I feel like I've fixed the party season damage. But I'm guessing I have about 35kg to go 'til I reach my goal. Quote: |

lisa | Noticed the topic of Coke Zero... lisab, not sure where you are getting your figures from, but a cup of instant coffee has about 115mg of caffeine, while diet coke has 45mg of caffeine while coke zero only has 34mg. So I'm kinda curious why we are told not to have coke with caffeine - as all caffeine is the same.
I know I was drinking my limit of diet coke when I was going hard and it didn't affect my results (I was also slipping in the odd double espresso as a buzz/treat).
I look forward to sharing my ups and downs with you all - you seems like a great and supportive bunch. I know it seemed kinda easy losing that 35kg (did it in about 4 months - I was pretty determined!)... but now I honestly can't imagine being 65kg - so the next 35kg (or so) seems like a mammoth task. I regret falling off, but I've promised myself I will get there.
My first mini goal is to get past the first week without being bad! "Cucumber should be well sliced, dressed with pepper and vinegar, and then thrown out." |

I looked at your pictures and can see the gleam in your eye . . .how wonderful to share your happiness.
I have been trying to do the ticker and hopefully it will show up. I have enjoyed seeing all the interesting ones that you all have. I have listed in pounds as I'm in the states . . .I can appreciate the struggles all are having and appreciate the tips you all share. I'm happy with my results so far, but have gotten my fair share of frustration with the scales bouncing up and down with that .5 . . .dang it . . .oh well, it's better than it was . . .so just keep going forward . . . |

Mel Congratulations!!!! You looked gorgeous at your engagement party.
I went to the specialist today about my problems from last month, and am booked in for a colonoscopy next Monday.
Good news! I have booked to go to the Gold Coast lifestyle clinic for a consultation this afternoon! I've been putting it off till I could sort out all the other stuff - but my appetite is back - which is a bad thing.
Jonelle......hi!!! Did you live in Queensland in 2004?
A bit of trolling going on, eh? Oh well....the life of internet forums. I have access to some spare domain names if you want to set another one up for private girlfriend chats. Just send me a PM. LOL The benefits of being a webhost's wife.

Rep Power: 0 | | Aaah ok, I knew a Jonelle here who listed our house, but then she left and moved to WA....it's not a common name
K I signed up, ladies!!!! Then I came home and had a snack sized packet of Twisties. Pretty sad, huh? I think that's the rebel coming out in me! I have to fast this weekend for the colonoscopy on Monday and can't figure out whether I should wait till then, or whether it will give a bad reading because of this drink that I've got to have before the procedure.
On another note, I got the bill from the hospital for the three days I was in while in the US. $14,400 US dollars!!! $2900 US just for a CAT scan - and they couldn't get a decent image because I threw the drink up! $900 for an ultrasound, $130 for a pregnancy test.......I took it to the specialist today to show him and he estimated the bill would be about $4000 Australian if it happened here. Still waiting on the ambulance bill which is at a guess around $3,000.
Anyways, back to the programme, I must be serious, I even got a ticker. But I think I'll wait till I see a movement the slider before listing it. |

You look pretty great now | Ros, the wedding is on October 7th this year, so I've got 8 months and 1 week to the big day! I am most certain that I will reach my goal weight before October, I've lost 24kg in 3months, so hopefully I can lose the remainding 34kg in 8 months. Discipline and Will Power is all it takes, & I want this more than anything It's been a very emotional ride to get this far, the social life has been cut to a minimum, but I'm willing sacrafice a few things now, to make life a whole lot better later. All you girls are my support network, I'd be lost without you! |

To get your ticker to work, you need to copy the BBCode (see screen shot attached) & then go into your User Control Panel (Click User CP) - located in the Menu Bar across the top of the page and click 'Edit Signature' - then paste the code into there. This should fix it up.
If you need any help, feel free to Private Msg me or send me an email, melissa@kurrara.com.au
