Rep Power: 6 | | Thanks Esthee, Cate and Sam for your lovely comments, yes I feel great about what I have acheived. Yesterday was my offical weigh in day for 1 week and I have officially lost 4.6kg for the first week. I am so wrapped.
Now normally if I acheive something great I usually like to go out for dinner, but not this time.
I have not been very well since Thursday afternoon, I ran out of pain meds for my back and had a shocking headache all arvo Thursday and all day yesterday, could hardly open my eyes, spent most of the time in my dark bed room. Went to my Dr. yesterday afternoon and he said sound like a bit of withdrawal from the drugs. He has also put me on even stronger meds as the other ones were not helping very much at all. I asked him what happens when I don't need them anymore will it be hard to come off them, he said once I am in no more pain it won't be hard to stop, I might have a few average day when I do stop, be he said that it will be nothing in comparison to what I am dealing with now with the amount of pain I am in, so not to worry about it. Still feel a bit sore in the head this morning, but not as bad a the past few days.
Anyway I will get my stats together for the week and post them soon. This will make me feel better |

4.6 is Awesome!! OMG!!! Just remember that things will soon start to slow down but generally remain consistent throughout the whole of the program! That’s what I love about Cohens… Is that if you stick to it… the weight has nowhere else to go but OFF!!
Your Cm loss is fantastic!!! Congratulations!
You sound really focussed and in the right brain space! That’s the way to be! Don’t let anything get in your way to a healthier, happier you! No parties or special occasions or anything really! (cos they will all come around again!)
I am really looking forward to following your journey mate!!

Rep Power: 6 | | | Week 2 - Day 14 Hi everyone,
I have been a bit quiet lately, just had a hard week. Lots of pain so been spending most of my time resting in between running my business from home. It has been a little emotionally testing over the last week just the new medication that I am on is really knocking me for 6 as it is heaps stronger so I'm getting very tired and for the first few days I was quite ill just couldn't really focus on much so just layed in bed for a few days feeling very stoned, but the meds are getting easier as I am slowly getting use to them, but I am still 100% on cohens, no deviations, even with quite a few temptations of late.
On Wednesday night we had a couple over for dinner, and I made creamy scallop potato and pumpkin with bacon and garlic, fillet minion, and warm feta salad and brushetta's for entree. And icecream with custard and berry crumble for desert. All looked lovely, and smelt great, but I actually surprised myself and I was quiet content to sit there and have my little piece of eye fillet and salad. I was surprised that I didn't even get a watering mouth over the scallop potato and pumpkin which I normally just love and would have 3 or 4 helpings of. I told my best friend and she was so proud of me, made me feel great.
And I am so pleased with my stats this week, I lost another 3.2kg for the week so a total of 7.1kg for 2 weeks. Will post the rest of my stats soon. My measurements look great, I was so surprised. Especially when I held the measuring tape at the old lengths to compare where I have come from and there is a huge difference already. I have updated my ticker very cool

Wow - look at you!!!
Your loss both cm's and kilos is absolutely fantastic after two weeks.
So sorry to hear that you have not been well.
Re: Not feeling it yet (comment made in Esthee's diary ) You will start to feel it in your clothes very soon, I remember when I first started at my heaviest at 108 kilos, it took at least 10-15 kilos before I was getting comments and actually started to feel it in my clothes. Give it another fortnight or so. Once you do start feeling it and seeing it (actually seeing it is something I struggled with - I could never see it, others could, I couldn't, very strange.)
Your dinner party sounded lovely, good for you for not being tempted, it's great when that switch flicks on and you are totally in the zone huh?
Have a great weekend Sal.

Rep Power: 9 | | | Sal... you are doing so well! Congrats on the great results!
I really empathise with your back issues. I too struggle and have for years. Now that I have pretty much lost all the weight, I am booking into see the surgeon next month and I am gonna get it sorted out.
It is Amazing to think that I could be THIN and PAIN FREE by the end of the year!! I cant tell you what the sense of excitement is like!
Remember to keep taking your Vitamins too cos that can make us really tired if we dont!

Thanks for your support in my dairy (and everyone else). Sal you are amazing and I can see so focused....posting your measurements means "serious business" to me.
Having a dinner party and making all the scrumptious meals and not even having a taste is very brave.
I like Annie even after the weightloss still didn't see it...but that is probably because we have been a certain weight for so long that our whole mental outlook needs adjusting to the new you. I mean we all still get those so called "fat days" and for me that is near TOM. But when you do feel those clothes loosening that really is the life changing moment...for me that happened after 2 weeks as you know I had 15kg to lose so it is all relative to how much you have to lose.......Esthee said she and others can tell the difference and her clothes are getting looser on her as well. So don't panic as long as those scales are heading in the right direction and so are your measurements so will the rest. It sounds like you have alot on your plate with your health so give yourself time and don't put to much pressure to do too much...Cohens is a very mentally challenging diet but it is all worth it in the end. YOU WILL SEE. I have posted the Jennifer Marnell story with photo's so go into the general cohens forum for the web link. It shows change can occurr with effort and perserverence. Sam |

Rep Power: 59 | | | Sal, You are an inspiration to everyone! Be proud of yourself. You are going to hear those comments very soon. It took about 4-6 wks for many to notice the difference with me but I could feel myself shrinking which was the main thing. You are the important one. Good for you not tasting any of your delicious sounding dinner. You're "in the zone!" Cheers, cate |

So sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well. But I am SO glad to hear that you are able to stick to your diet eventhough some comfort food would probably be welcome The two of us will definitely keep walking this road together
Your measurements and weight loss up to date is AWESOME! I'm really proud of you and if I could I would be giving you a huge bunch of pretty flowers.
Good luck for the coming week. And I hope you start feeling better.
