New Here & to Cohen's

Hiya, I found this forum and wondered if you all chatted in a particular thread?
I started Cohen's on the 22 Feb 2008. I'm very happy with my results so far and love that I am not having any tummy probs as i used to.
I am sleeping better and feel good.
Some days I find it hard without some foods but overall I am doing really well.

I have been given the goal weight of between 62-65kgs. I am thinking 70kgs or just under. Even when i wasn't fat, I was a broad girl so this is going to be so bizarre to be 'thin'.

Did anyone else feel this way?

X
Erica

Welcome Erica

This is a fantastic program. I had a total of 60kg to loose to get to my goal, and I am already 12kg down after 5 weeks. Still have 48kg to go, but I am sure on my way now.

Most of us in here have our own diary and write our thoughts in there and then people give you their opinion and support by replying in you diary and you can do the same to theirs. Having your own diary is very therapeutic and a great way to get you thoughts in order even especially when you are having a bad day.

I was skinny only once in my life but only for about 1 year just before I met my husband, at the time I was single and working long shifts and partying very hard, so no time to eat, so it was not the best way to get skinny. It was a wonderful feeling however and I look forward to feeling that again and all the shopping for clothes that goes along with it also the attention you get when you are skinny and good looking doesn't hurt your self esteem much at all.. But this time around I want to be able to maintain it.

If you stick to the program 100% you will see some fantastic results. Good luck on your journey to the new skinny you. You will be looking fantastic before you know it.

Thank-you for your welcome Sal.
I was really looking to connect with others online who are doing the program.
I have to friends that are doing it and one is on the refeeding right now.
So I have got heaps of hints and help with it.
I've been making up some of my own recipes.
The other night I made mago/chilli chicken and it was beautiful.

I think I will start a diary also.

Do you obstain from weighing weekly?

I have never been skinny but I have been a nice size 14/16 and it felt so good to be attractive to men. I too was single and partying hard. But that went out the window when I met hubby and fell pregnant 2 weeks after meeting.

X

Welcome to the forum Erica & to Cohen's. I haven't ended up skinny or thin but am happy to say I am slim. I'm 54 & am back to the weight I was in my 20's. It feels great! We don't seem to communicate in one thread, but as Sal said we "visit" one another's diaries & provide support & encouragement that way. It's a friendly forum & you are very welcome. Sal is relatively new to the forum & is refreshingly excited about the program & is being very encouraging to others. I know I am enjoying her enthusiasm! If you decide to start your own diary just start a new thread, like you did this one, & call it whatever you like so that we will know it's your diary & we will visit you there, cheers & happy losing, Cate.

Hi Erica

Welcome!!!!! That was my weight loss goal when I first started Cohens in Dec 2006.
I successfully finished refeed at 63kg in March 2007.
Cohens is a wonderful diet as you will find. I had tried many prior to budge those unwanted kilos and Cohens was the only one that did minus any strenous exercise.

take care and all the best.
Sam
