Rep Power: 13 | | Okay...I am Back.. Nasty Tummy Bug... thank god the kids didnt get it...
Okay... I had a compromised cohens lunch on sunday..it was beef (roast) and salad.. I missed sunday dinner and on tuesday afternoon i had to give in the cramps were so bad i got them when i was drinking my water..arghh!!! I ended up having a non cohens dinner of vegemite on toast.. that was yum.. but truly needed.. wednesday still crampy but was able to continue with the cohens meals with out pain...
Well nobody in my husbands family said anything about my weightloss.. but i am not discouraged.. My husband reassured me that i am smaller then his mum and sister so thats always great to hear....good... So two goals down.. the docs and the family visit..I now have to get through the 21st birthday tonight.. mum and i will be a united front of cohens and water jugs.. ha ha ha.. apologies from my mum.. she has managed, some how, to have forgotten how to get into the site so I have to re educate her all over again.... the techno unsavy....
It is all very busy here on the forum.. so many posts to catch up on..Very exciting...
I have given in to the scales and i have updated my ticker..... 6kg's lost since starting my new program.. yippeee... next clinic date is the 9th...
Anyway i better keep reading the posts...

This is the first time I have talked to anyone other than my husband about my weight. I have also done Cohens 2 years ago and didn't complete it. I have since had another child(4 months ago) and am trying to do it at home on my own and it is not working. I have put on a load of weight I now I have to lose 37kgs. Is your new diet the same as last time eg. the grams of meat you are allowed to have or is it different. And did you have to pay the full amount again and is it easier or harder 2nd time around.
I am really worried I am never going to lose the weight andat the same time very unmotivated but realise I need to do something. What would you suggest?? I love your blog by the way it is quite inspirational for me.
Thanks for listening to me mumble and groan as I am not a negative person really except when it comes to weight. I think I am impatient as I lost just over 20 kilos in 10 weeks. You would think from that I would be inspired.
I am currently 96 kilos and if it is ok can I join your thread to be accountable to someone.

Rep Power: 13 | | Hi there Jay2... Hello Jay2 and welcome to the forum..Post away...
I am sure you wiill feel comfy here in no time.. lots of nice people here... A big thank you for your kind words. ...New versus Old.. Yes i did have to pay the full amount for my new program.. it was a bit ouchie, but I think well worth it.. My mother and i were a little doubtful if it was actually going to differ much, and wondered if it was all mind over matter, but we were suprised.. Dont get me wrong its nothing huge.. I have more meal choices this time round and my mum has less... My weights have changed eg. On my last program i had 90gram of Poultry lunch or dinner this time i have 3 different Poultry weights same with my beef allowance..My fruit allowance stayed at 2.. shame...I was hoping for 3.. ha ha ... We also found some things had changed over the years... some diet drinks were out, no fruity sugar free gum.. a few other little things.. they also reminded us of a few things we had forgotten over the years.. Our biggest reason for getting another program was we didnt feel like it was working, we still lost weight, but it just did not feel the same, Tempation remained.. Since starting My new program i have lost 6.2kg in 3 weeks and only deviated due to illness. The transition from old to new was smooth... On my old program, i was on and off but managed to loose 10 kg in just over 2 months.. Jay2 its your choice, old or new, but i can vouch for the fact that my 2nd program is different from my first and thus far successful. By attempting my old program (no matter how hap hazardly) i showed my self and my hubby that i could do it..
Jay2, I think you have started off on the right foot.. You want to do it... Your previous weight loss was amazing, i would love to loose that in 10 weeks.. I think the hardest thing about recommitting to cohens is you know what your in for.. both sides.. The Sacrafice and The Speed (Now Known as Impatience) ..ha ha ha.
We all have that little devil in us that tells us that we wont loose it, I have decided it is the fat talking... I mean, it is so terribly comfortable it doesn't want to give up residency..ha ha ha.. be buggered, no more tenants for me.. I am evicting. So dont be so hard on yourself. You have, after all, taken a big step already just by posting..
A big Congrats on the new bub, how lovely.. Boy or girl?
.. i have two of each..boys 13 & 10, Girls 7 & 14months..
Anyway.. I have carried on a bit ....
..I look forward to your next post..
Take Care and be kind to yourself..

Rep Power: 59 | | | Hi Chelle & Jan! I think it's great that you are doing the program together. It is really interesting how the program varies. When I first started I didn't mention how much fruit or crackers I was allowed when I realised it was more than most people. I used to always have the meat/poultry combo that allowed me the most vegetables/salad with it as well. I love fruit & vegies! Now I also love water (H2o, the way to go). Cheers, Cate. |

I also got a new program last week. Its great, i have more food options at meal times. The kinds of foods are same, except i can now have cottege cheese when b4 i couldnt. Also they chucked tofu in there. My fruit and cracker allowence is still the same though, 2 fruit, 5 cracker. Its hard to get into at first, im finding it hard not exercising as its something i really enjoy. But this program works, so its worth giving up lifes little pleasures for a healthier happier lifestyle. Congrats on your loss so far on your new program. |

Rep Power: 13 | | Another day Well, another day over and done with....
Walked around Kmart today looking at all the clothes, still to scared to try on an 18... i shall give it a little longer... My hips are still holding up my shorts and jeans (size20) so am going to do some tone ups to help aid in their shrinkage.. ha ha ha.. after 4 kids and an extra 50 kgs i worry i may have extra wide hips under all this fat and flesh...that is a scary thought....upside at least i have a waist now.. its an improvement... bit better then the cylinder look i have been trying to pull off for the last decade....HA HA HA...
Christmas parties this weekend... the weather looks great for it too. Probably wont check in in the morning as i have a full schedule so i hope everyone has a good weekend... I still havent made my mind up about the christmas pagent Sunday at 9.30 in the morning... not sure if i can drag myself out of bed in time to get all 4 kids ready and in the car by 7.30am ... just typing that makes me feel exhuasted...
Well hope everyone has a great weekend... Be good.. be kind.. take care..

Rep Power: 13 | | What a Weekend.... Well after a very scary broadband bill I have had to change tactics.. I now open all the things I want to post in then disconnect from the net… The best thing is I now have spell check.. ha ha ha.. We are so used of being on an unlimited package.. My hubby has a bad habbit of staying online all day.. Any way back to the topic.. I have my four week blood test tomorrow… fingers crossed.. Weigh in too.. Argh. I know this may sound strange but what did you guys wear for your morning weigh, underwear, Pj’s or regular clothing? It doesn’t say, just states to weigh after the loo first thing in the morning…. Is that too TMI? My shorts are huge.. But unfortunately still aren’t dropping off my hips.. Regardless of said fact I have to buy some new ones the crutch is so low its almost to my knees and with all the excess fabric they aren’t doing anything to make me look thinner… So weigh2fat and I are going to have a little clothes safari and net me a pair of shorts or two… I love having baggy clothes.. But these shorts are really big.. I remember when we bought them and they were a bit tight… Well I caught up with my Bridezilla on the weekend… We went out for dinner I took my little red décor container with me.. All went well… Unfortunately I wore a pair of heels, they are nice but as I have lost weight they are rather loose, my toes were red raw by the time we got to the pub.. Upside is at least my feet didn’t feel like I was crushing them to dust… We did a lot of walking before and after the meal… Weigh2fat had us out at a couple of Christmas parties over the weekend, they were all very nice, full of lovely people.. The kids had a ball.. I am a little bit sunburnt.. tut tut.. But no deviations for either of us … No Christmas pageant either.. I could barely get up after my night on the town, so had no chance of making the pageant.. I might start planning for the next one… lots of time for preparation… I am avoiding telling my hubby what I weigh and what I have lost while he is away.. It is very hard.. I just hope he notices a difference when he returns… I suppose that is enough for the world of Chelle for now….... My untidy kitchen awaits me when I have finished all my posts.. well afew more to post so will bid farewell to you all.. Good luck on your own journeys.. TTFN Chelle |

Rep Power: 59 | | 94.5kg! Well done Chelle. Your life sounds so busy. Christmas is just so full on. It's madness really. I still look absolutely crap in shorts so may never, ever wear them. Tried some on today. Ugh! Lucky you! We all have some part of our body that we don't like. Mine is my legs. Take care, xo Cate |
