Rep Power: 8 | | | Any ideas, Ladies??? Okay so my first three weeks have been going great with 7.7kg loss. My TOM has been and gone but since then my weight loss has just stopped. What is troubling me is I am doing sooooo well, no deviations, weighing all my foods, drinking all my fluids and I have even been going to the gym daily. So what I was wondering is does anyone have any suggestions on how to get it kick started again or is it just a waiting game???
Appreciate any help.

Rep Power: 8 | | Okay, so, I just took some quick measurements and it seems I am still losing cms so I dont think I will stress too much about the number on the scales.
But I would still love to hear what everyone thinks.

kc | kc- A vodka Cruiser, whatever you had Aust Day & an ice-cream- no deviations? Sweetie, we've been kidding ourselves all of our lives that we don't eat much or never eat the wrong things but none of us got to the weight we were by eating healthily & in moderation. It's time to get serious about it. Be deviation-free from now on. I'm sure you can do it. We women are fairly strong-minded when we want to be & I don't think you are an exception there. You can do this! Sit down & really have a good talk (not argument) with your husband about why you want to lose weight & that it would really help if he could support you & encourage you. He may be worried that you will lose weight & leave him. Mine was. He knows different now
Try, really try, to put those scales away for a whole month & be deviation- free & you shouldn't have to worry about them again, xo Cate. |

Rep Power: 8 | | Thanks Cate, for your advice and as much as I try to not think about weighing myself, my weight loss journey has become almost an addiction. I am constantly thinking about it!!
But I will take you advice and not worry about it, too much. Maybe I will find the strength inside myself and weigh only monthly but truthfully I cant see it happening just yet!! But I will try!! |

Which is when I have hit this plateau!!
But thank you for your concern,Cate.

kc | Sometimes it takes a week for the actual effect of the cheat to catch up.
I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago, it is really just a waiting game. I gurantee you if you had skinfold body test done before the weight loss stop and when it starts again you're going to drop a lot of body fat.
This is why you're still losing the inches and weight isn't moving. Start drinking even more water and it can take about 5-10 days to get the scale moving again.
Just be sure to not cheat (like i did) during this time because of frustration. Hence why they say to only weigh once a month, because this happens to everyone. |

Rep Power: 8 | | Thanks for that, CohenInAz. I am staying strong through this frustrating time for I know its noone's fault but my own. I will try up my water intake if thats even possible.
Like Cate said, I have to stay focused and remain DEVIATION FREE FROM NOW ON!!! |

Rep Power: 79 | | hehe Ive been at it again 3 weeks now, and only just beginning to see any results. Its horrible running and cycling and almost starving (seems that way at least lol) only to loose nothing at the end of the week.
At the end of week 3 though its showing results at least finally .. but to be honest the body shows more results than the scale. |

At the beginning this is how I felt but I dont feel like that anymore. I dont think I would be able to eat half the portion sizes I was eating before.Valid point about the body showing more results than the scales. I will definitely keep this in mind. |

Rep Power: 13 | | ha ha ha.. thanks for the laugh ladies...
The oracle has spoken.. ha ha ha... But Cate as in most cases is correct... ( no big heads now, cate.. )
We have all gotten to our current state in many ways ... Denial as my mother often tells me is not a river in egypt..... ha ha ha.... I always used to say i didnt eat much... But cohens has opened my eyes to so many things... so many bad habbits... i still catch myself out thinking about food at particular times eg.. reading a book, watching a DVD, after a late night... I cook food and sometimes have to toss it as i have made to much and it goes off... i would be the guilty party who snacked on it.. not alot, just here and there and maybe some a little later... ha ha ha... I was exactly what Cate was describing...
Anyway back to point wannabe, Your deviation does slow things down and does play with your hormones and your brain, Just focus on your goals... When you next hop on the scales remind yourself that good things come to those who wait... Apart from the strict eating regime and the havoc it can play with our social life, i think the hardest thing with cohens is patience.. Just think of how far you have come already, think about what other program would have you seeing such results....
I have dropped 25kg's and i feel better and i see that i have lost weight and cm's but its those around me who see the biggest change.. i see all i have still to lose and do, and when i am down how far i still have to travel to reach my goal...we are our own worst enemies, so be kind to yourself...
Anyway still lots to accomplish today, the house is bugging me... Take care and chin up..
You have already done so very well....

I know how frustrating it is -I have been on Cohens for 4 weeks and haven't deviated once and I've only lost 6kg according to their scales - about 200g this week! I even put on 300g this morning!! How?? I drink at last all my water too and sometimes miss a piece of fruit. My tape measure doesn't really seem to be measuring that much smaller either but I know I look and feel better. Sigh.
Many of my friends lose 10kg a month and I was hoping for the same and have been beating myself up but hey, I can't do anything more about it so just have to be happy that I've lost more weight on Cohens in a month than I have on any other diet/eating plan. Just hope that next weigh in will see me whooping for joy!!
Keep at it WB - we can beat this together!!

You body is freaking out and trying to hold onto everything because its in starvation mode. Even with buring the fat, it sounds like it isn't enough.
I know on days if I go to the gym and burn more than 350 calories in a 1/2 hour my weight doesn't go down for a few days, but if I burn less than 300 in the same time, I am fine and still lose weight. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
