Rep Power: 3 | | My Cohen journey Today marks Day 1 of my journey to lose the 8kg of fat I put on post-pregnancy (2 pregnancies!). I've tried everything - from high protein diets to slimming centres - and I must say nothing has given me real results. When I heard about the Cohen Lifestyle Programme, it immediately sparked my interest and I thought to myself - "Hey, I've got nothing to lose except a few kg of stubborn fat." So here I am today.
Will be looking through the forum for some recipes to make the journey more enjoyable :-) And good luck to all who are undergoing the same journey - your stories are a real inspiration to me.
All the best. |

Rep Power: 11 | | Welcome Nutty professor, and hope you're soon enjoying the success many of the rest of us already have!
Hang in during that first week - your body will rebel, but if you stick with it, it should soon become second nature. Drink lots of water! |

Rep Power: 3 | | Thanks for the advice (i.e. drink lots of water) cos that's where my challenge lies! I work in a fast-paced office environment and sometimes I forget there's a mug of water waiting to be drunk :-) So far so good through, it's almost lunch time and my hunger pangs are manageable. Will derive my strength from all the successful guys and gals keeping with the program.

Rep Power: 11 | | | Me too - I have a bottle RIGHT in front of my nose, but just get busy and fail to notice it! But - if I make sure I get onto it - I have a much better day.
Watch out for Day 5 - for me, that's the killer day. After that, it slowly gets better for a week, then rapidly gets better. By Week 3, 4, you'll be really into it (and probably nearly there!). |

Day 1 went well! I was surprised - I thought I'd be suffering from hunger pangs all day, but nope, I was fine.
This morning I had my bowl of yoghurt with mango. I'm getting used to the taste of plain yoghurt and it's not as bad as I thought it would be. I didn't get any headaches yesterday, which is a good thing. I had read that it's normal to experience headaches in the first 3-4 days. Hope my luck holds up!

Rep Power: 59 | | Hi nuttyprofessor & welcome to the forum & to Cohen's. You may not get any headaches if you didn't drink much caffeine before. I had cut mine right down before I started so didn'tsuffer from them. Water is so important and so is sleep. Try to get as much as possible whilst on Cohen's. I find the more water I drink the more I want or need & now drink 3 litres every day and have done so for 2 years. You will love the feeling on Cohen's once you are into it a week or so. All the best with it, cheers, Cate |

Rep Power: 3 | | Cate, thank you for the encouraging words. I've seen your wonderful progress through the program and it's really inspiring. Today is Day 3, I had an awful breakfast which I'll be sure not to repeat - a boiled egg and steamed cauliflowers. Not a good combo, trust me! Haha. I think I'll stick to yoghurt and fruit for brekkie.
Have there been people on the program who only had say 10kg to lose? How fast do they actually see fat loss, I reckon it would be slower than one who had to lose more? I'm keeping away from the weighing scales (with much difficulty!). One improvement I've seen in the past 2 days is that my tummy no longer feels bloated after a meal. |

Rep Power: 4 | | Hello NP, you call yourself nutty professor, I rather see you as no problem no the programme . Anyway, I understand that people who have less to lose will lose them slower...hello, you've less fat to burn any way...hehehe. Oh, so you're seeing the Singapore clinic too? Currently you are based in Singapore or you're at Malaysia?
Hmmm, I can't quite do without garlic/chilli and the clinic had better NOT CHEAT me on that. Yep, you're right, so far I'm STILL seeing results...but if by any chance my blood test next week reads a deviation, I think I know why...cos I've really not deviated at all...cross my heart! I will not deviate if possible as I think I owe myself a responsibility to ensure that I change over my bad eating habits |

I have not weighed myself at all since Monday (my 1st day), as I think it's early days yet. Perhaps once I've completed 2 weeks, I'll check on my progress.
I think I will check back on the chili/garlic. I also use curry/korma powder in my dishes, and I just realised it's limited to 1 teaspoon per meal! Yikes. I think I screwed up the first 2 days of my program :-) |

Rep Power: 3 | | | Today is Day 9 - I can't quite believe it. And the best thing is, the program is so easy to follow (after all the weighing is done at least!). I have lost about 5 cm from all over, and couldn't resist weighing myself today. I'm down to 60.5kg from 62.3kg! Wow, it feels good to have made some progress.
I hope everyone is having a great week, and I'm wishing everyone success on the program! |

Rep Power: 3 | | I can't quite believe I'm into Week 3. I don't think I have lost more than 2kg, but am satisfied that I'm losing some fat the healthy way.
A quick question - when is the best time to weigh yourself - early morning or last thing at night? |

Rep Power: 11 | | | I'm not sure on the definitive answer, but I always weigh first thing in the morning straight after loo. I think that way is likely to be the most consistent reading. |
