I'm not on Cohens, but i'm pretty sure theres not much out there that you cant' use an oven to cook.

I use my wok more often. Hahaha. My cohen's meals are mostly stir-fried. I prefer to use my toaster oven than my microwave.

Me too. It's the wok for me & my non-stick good-quality fry pan which I almost ruined by using an olive oil spray.Now I have a spray can that I fill myself & pump up. You can survive easily w/o a micro.

I never use a microwave for Cohen's meals for myself. I also love my little non-stick frypan - my best friend! Or - if it's a salad, then I don't need anything, but the vast majority of my meals are made in small non-stick frypan.

It only takes a few minutes to make an acceptable Cohen's meal, so I don't need anything to help cut down a length preparation process.

I never use a microwave to cook anything on cohens. I also use a small non-stick frypan for anything I dont cook in the Gas oven. I think microwaves are best for re-heating foods and not cooking them from scratch as they dont release the flavour like an oven does!

My advice would be to ditch the micro-wave (until your on re-feeding or beyond) and just stick to the good old fashioned way of cooking

I just wanted to say that I use my microwave in the morning. Im not much of a morning person so I use it to microwave my vegg which I think makes them come out a bit better and softer for me. BUT every morning I eat an egg and some vegg.
For my other meals I do use a pan. Which does bring out the flavor. In the mornings though Im not to concerned with flavor. Im more like " lets get this meal out of the way so I can watch the little one ransack the house" LOL!! She is a major handful in the mornings lol.

I don't own a microwave right now either, so no, hehe, I don't use one.

When I had one it was mostly from reheating left overs (and there are never any leftovers these days ), heating up my heat bag or defrosting things.

I miss it a little, but am happily getting on without it, to the point that I might not get another one for a while!

YES ~ the non-stick fry pan. And soon, thanks to this lovely message board of shared information and experiences, I am gonna get a little wok.
