Rep Power: 0 | | | Second Timer Hi everyone.. Well im completely new to this site and still trying to work out how to use it properly.. but im not new to cohans.. This is my second attempt... Last time was in 2006 when i was 72kg and wanted to get to 55kg.. Well i got through the actual program (and lost all the weight) in 7 weeks.. but i found out i was pregnant with my first ( just before refeed) .. so went off the program. I have just had my second child now and am 75kg .. anyway im thinking that a support group like this will help me this time to lose and keep the weight off (that and the fact that im finsihed having all my babies.. two is enough
oh just some stuff about me.. Im a primary school teacher. im 30 years old and im married to a very lovely completely supportive man.. |

Rep Power: 21 | | Hi bensmum, welcome to the forum. You've come to the right place for support, with the journey and the maintenance. The same thing happened to me 1st time round, I had to eat more carbs as a result of falling pregnant, only to end up miscarrying. So this is like the zillionth time I've done this. The 1st time, I was only about 5kgs off goal weight. Look forward to reading your posts. |

p.ss I have changed the time set on this.. im actually in Australia so the time it says i have written isnt the time i have actually written..lol |

Rep Power: 21 | | 3 kgs is great. I know what you mean about scales . Some mornings on our digital scales, I can get 5 different readings. On those mornings, I just assume its the same as it was originally, and wait a couple of days and it seems to give me a consistent one. Weighing more than once - I know right - I am ocd when it comes to weighing. This morning I was down 1/2 kg, and was too scared to recheck, I was happy to take that.
On another site, I read someones physician told them, you know how our body is eliminating toxins and stuff overnight? If you weigh after showering it washes away all that stuff, and you will weigh less than if you weigh before. Seriously, would there be that much stuff on our skin to wash off??????? I was going to test the theory this morning, but didn't want to risk a higher reading from pre shower weigh. Talk about obsessive. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Oh L-Jay.. im a constant scale obssessive freak..LOL... Have been since my teens i think... I hateed pregnancy becasue they just climed and climed and climed..LOL.. I gained 21kg in both pregnancys (or around that).. depressing.... But i should really stop weighing as when i dont see a difference i get majorly annoyed about it.. so no more until once i week i reckon..lol.. ill see how that goes... |

Rep Power: 21 | | I hope that works better for you. I am usually mildly annoyed if I haven't lost, but it makes me more determined. Lately I've been dropping every other day, so that makes it easy. It's when you go 4 or 5 days with nothing, that's when I get a bit aggro. It's pathetic how something like that can have such an influence.
PS - I tried the shower theory this morning. Pfffft. I was 1/2 kg heavier. So wont be doing THAT again!! |

Rep Power: 12 | | | You must live in a different part of Australia to me!!!! I'm getting a little tired of the dreary Perth weather, at least in our parts. It makes up for the beautiful, sunny and unrainy autumn we had I guess - I know the dams need the showers and rain, but I wish the depressing grey skies would scamper for a bit. |

Rep Power: 19 | | Welcome BensMum I'm back for round 2 as well. I started back in 2006 as well and reached my GW but I just got slack and gained it back.
Anyway good luck I hope you get to your 55kg. I'm wanting to reach 65kg.
All the best now - Sam |

Yes, they can affect weightloss for that day, but if it's a one off, and you get back to timing and water the next day, it usually averages out right for the rest of the week. (Does for me anyway) So try not to make it a habit, but don't worry about the odd day. Sometimes, it's completely unavoidable.
Glad you're getting sunshine. It rained nearly all day here today.
