Many thanks.
CD | Its not metamucil... otherwise I'd probably spend all day on the toilet!!
Its a fairly new brand here called Benefibre. Its totally soluble, no taste, no grit, non thickening. I mix some with water before I eat breakfast and by the time I'm ready to drink my big glass of water, its disappeared in there somewhere, and I can't taste it, and I wouldn't know it was there. It just taste's like plain water. So, I love it!
I do find that it gets a bit much at times, and I have to pull back on it. I get a bit crampy. But I also forget to take it some days, so it kind of balances out.
Hope that helps!

Rep Power: 0 | | Hi all just popping in to say hi! I've had a pretty hard last couple of weeks, big struggles all around! But I am back on track and ready to shift this last lot of weight. It's my best friends wedding in April and her hens night on the 23rd March so I need to be finished and done by then!! Plus I have just laybyed an AMAZING dress for the wedding - almost completely backless!!! I can't quite believe it myself!!! _ I will post photos of me in it at goal weight when I finish.
Ive started doing some toning exercises too. I was watching late night shopping TV a while ago and got suckered in and bought the Core Secrets Dvd's and Fitball. Anyway tried it out on the weekend, didn't feel strenuous a work out at all but God Damn am I sore today!!! Works and tones all the wobbly bits - arms, tummy, bum, hips and back (very important for the new dress) - Great DVD's after all, so I'm soo happy about that!!
Looks like everyones kicking some serious Ass, well done losers!!
Hey Fatcat you are powering along girl, it so great to see!! Congrats on the number request!!! That's awesome!!! What pub/bar do you work at??
Have a great night everyone and for those of you still thinking whether this is the right program for you.... IT IS!!!!!
Take care
Mel

Your last line struck me a great deal...
I feel that you are very brave to face up to the consequences and even braver to take actions to move on from your situation. Seriously, some others could have chosen to escape from reality and leave in some form of denial.
It's not easy, babyegg but keep going. Just keep going and keep on trying hard.
To the rest of Cohenites, like what Babyegg said, when we chose to go on the program, we really want to do something good for ourselves. You have already achieved something good for yourself so make sure that you stick to the program and give yourself the very best.
I didn't share this earlier but on the first Sat when I'm officially off the program, I happened to watch the Biggest Loser on TV. Seeing how the individuals on TV were transformed totally reminded myself about the 1 year plus journey on Cohen. I could have taken a shorter time had not been my slight deviations and my constipation problems. But if I didn't have all these obstacles, I wouldn't have learnt the values of resilience (jumping back when I've fallen off), perseverance, hope, optimism, self-worth, patience. I was deeply touched at the last segment of the program when these individuals were weighing themselves to see which one had the greatest weight loss. In fact, I broke down infront of the TV set because I felt so proud of myself to have done something great for myself. not only had I lost 60 kg, I had gained a new life - a life filled with a cleaner state of health, more confidence and happiness.
I simply love my life now. And I'm sure babyegg, if you keep at it, you will understand what I mean by "loving your life" after completing it.
Keep going all! |

A negligible amount. It is just dietary fibre with no additives. there are 0.002g sugar per serve, and .7g carb (incl the sugar) per serve.

Rep Power: 0 | | Hi Losing, Yes there is going to be heaps of people I haven't seen since starting Cohen's!!! Including a couple of Ex Boyfiriends!!! Ahahaaahahaaa I can't wait to see their reactions. My partner is the DJ on the night and is also a trained hairdresser, so I'll be getting the hair looking very glam, as well as getting a all over spray tan and new nails!! Lookout!!!! Dressing up and celebrating my best friends wedding is going to be my reward for completing this journey! Newlife, I soooo agree with what you said about the lessons you have learnt throughout the program. The tempatations, deviations and setbacks that test our resolve and determination to get back on the wagon!! I hadn't thought of it that way before so thank you!!! Have a sensational slimming day everyone! |

Rep Power: 0 | | Newbie Hello fellow Cohen-eers!
On 2/21 I registered for the Cohen's diet. On 2/24 I received and paid for my 12 week program. Today, I signed up for my blood test. I'm excited and nervous about getting started. I know it will be a challenge, but I'm worried about failure. I have enlisted a very good friend of mine to do the program with me so I am hoping that will make my 12 week journey that much easier.
I weigh about 186 pounds (84kg) and my goal weight is 135 pounds (61kg). I have been a member of the forum for several months. I spent some time reading the posts of those who are on the program. You guys are extremely supportive of one another and I hope you guys will help keep me motivated along the way.
I'm sure I'll be starting my program before the end of the week. If anyone has any pointers for me, please share. Otherwise, I wish each of you the very best!
Thanks
