Hi Clawdia,
From my personal experience, you should be more than fine because while on this program you use fresh fruit veg and meats. We are allowed some crackers but maybe you can substitute these.
It's great , research it some more and make an appointment at a clinic.

Hey everyone... I have not been on here for ages. I have reached 20kgs now and tonight I bought a ten kilo bag of spuds and could hardly lift it. Just to think I was carrying around 2 of them. I deviated at the weekend.. it was the final night of our theatre production, The Secret Garden and I felt that I deserved to have a treat and so had a glass of champagne and some biscuits and dip. I paid for it though with a 300g weight gain. I had lost it again by the following day. I have to have my blood test this week though so wondering what Dr Cohen will say!! I have not deviated at all except for 2 meals I had out so its not too bad. I am feeling awesome and now have to loose the last 6 kgs. My clinic want me to loose another 10kg so will have to see about that. Bye for now Carina

Hi all,
Hope everyone is doing great

Thanks Sam, I had a read, I often I think what foods I will be able eat or not eat when I am done. I think I could live without bread, it's something I havnt missed.

Ezzzzyyyyyyyyy.... Oh no! You are halfway there, just jump back on, you can do it. You have done so well, It just seems like yesterday when you started and you have lost 16, think how quick the other 16 will take.

Lam, way to go on the 20 pounds, you have done so well in 6 weeks. Yay to you!

Lukey, I don't do yoghurt, i usually have a hard boiled egg with tomato, cucumber on crackers or ricotta cheese with tomato cucumber. I do enjoy omellettes and poached eggs on weekends . My boobs have shrunk heaps.. I love it, I have always been a D cup even at my slimmest. Before Cohens I was a 22E and now I am 18DD. Can fit into the sweater girl bra again...yay!!

Carina and BeeG , Good to see you back , way to go on your results, you have done so well.

Clawdia, I second what Stef had to say. Do it, it's the best program ever and you see/feel results so quickly.

Until next time...

Why Why Why

Hi all. Its been ages since i last posted. Too many things have happened such as another knee reconstruction, got a clot and needed surgery, fiance in army, only seen him once since Feb. I was off diet for 6.5wks with the surgery and only put 750gms on. Im now at 70.3kg and i was to start refeed at 68 but its now 66kg. Im not too far away . I have however failed to drink water- i simply shudder with a mouthful. Literally. I can drink black coffee, my diet drink (usually over the daily limit!) but water seems to be extremely difficult. Any suggestions?? I can do it if im in the pool without difficulty maybe cos im in a heated hydro pool and its humidity dehydrates so i drink. But outside this i cant. I know i have to but... I also struggle to get 3meals -usually 2. Im trying. Wen i get stressed i dont eat so maybe this is it. Im missing fiance and its getting increasingly difficuly because of secrecy of location on training exercises. I can never get a straight answer of when i will see him and its frustrating also. Its not easy and this is prob evident in inability to eat. I will get thru this part but unless in this situation u will never fully understand ones emotions. WOE IS ME. I just have to get on with it and look after ME. Any1 with suggestions i would be very appreciative. Im not only one with stressors but dealing with life alone while love one god only knows where (he cld be around the corner or cld be interstate or international)! Well, I hope others are having more luck with this program and achieve gr8 results. I have lost 22kg (27 in total as lost 5 b4 started).

Hello Everyone,

Carina, BeeG, Nans68…Nice of you guys to check in so we can see some successes. Carina and BeeG… you are so close, I am thrilled for you.

Clawdia78… I believe this diet would be fine for you, with only very slight, if any, modifications.

Annie… Thanks for noticing! You’re super.

Hi Cate… near Antarctica…yikes. I won’t whine anymore about cold and rain! Seriously, what are your high and low temperatures this time of year?

DeDe… Plain water has always been difficult for me. In the first several weeks I used the Fruit2 O Flavored water. It is sweetened with splenda so I figured it was ok, then I asked Cohen’s and they said NO flavored water. I have seen some flavored with sugar but I never use any of those. I’m not sure if the deviation in water slowed things down, but it was great at getting me adjusted to the plain water. I think the flavored water would be better than no water. Please try your best to eat your three meals, maybe omit some crackers or fruit. Your stress level already makes it difficult for your body to lose weight and you are so close. Keep in mind that you are doing wonderful for all you are going through.

Ezzy… you are halfway there, you can do this. I know it can get boring eating the same things, but try things you haven’t tried yet, whether different veggies or seasonings. If that doesn’t work try some things your sure you won’t like, that with make you appreciate the things you do like. Just kidding.

Sorry to anyone I may have missed. Much Love

Hi everyone. Wow I think between us we have lost so much weight. Can you imagine what it would look like?!
Lori- It doesn't get anywhere near as cold here as it does in much of the US. I was trying to cheer you up! Ha ha. At night it gets down to -2oC & up to 8 or 9o C in winter when it's at it's coldest. It's not too bad really, especially when you have frosts & sunny days.
Everyone else is better than me at addressing each person individually. I have to go backwards & forwards & give up usually, so please forgive me.
Carinna I laughed when I read your post about the bags of spuds. It's a real Tassie thing. We mustn't live very far from one another as I'm up North as well. Goal is not far away! I too was aiming for the top of the Cohen's range because I had so much to lose. I am starting to think that I will let my body decide & only order re-feed if I am at the bottom of their range or am starving (whichever comes first) I've come this far so might as well go all the way I figure, even though I am a little impatient to finish.
It's great that the forum is so active at the moment. Cheers, Cate.

Hi all

How's everyone doing?
Just popping in to say hi and bye, I am off to Sydney for the long weekend with hubby...looking forward to a nice break away from the norm. We both have been real busy with work so can't wait to chill and catch up with some friends. I am going to be really good, the hotel we normally stay at is very accomodating with breakfast requests so breakfast and lunch is sorted. Just have to take it easy with dinners and order as close to cohen foods as possible.
Hope everyone has a great weekend (long for some) and catch up with you all next week. Till then....

HL- It's freezing in Tassie tonight too!! I had better be careful I don't deviate by adding too much spice to my food, like chilli & ginger. I don't know about anyone else but I need those spices to warm up my insides. I made 8 individually cooked & weighed chicken soups today & spent almost all of my day prepping food & cooking it.
I would like to learn a lot more about nutrition. Can anyone recommend a good book on the subject? I feel the more I learn about nutrition, the better my chances will be of staying slim & healthy, after re-feed.
One thing with being on Cohen's in Winter is that it's not as sociable so not as many temptations. I am looking forward to emerging in Spring with my new slim figure & will swim next Summer in public for the first time for decades!! Cheers fellow Cohenites, Cate.

Hello All,

Annie... have a great long weekend!

Cate, it seems your temperature is warmer then the coldest days in our winter. We had a cold snap that lasted weeks, with temps from -15*C to -5*C
(5*Ft o 23*F). At the time I had plenty of extra fat to keep me warm, so I know what you mean about being colder. I am cold on a 22*C (71*F day, so thankfully our weather is getting warmer now.

Everyone,
I was at my daughters field day at school today and it was very warm, we played great games with the kids and did lots of running and jumping and cheering. But... I think I stink!!! I know I was sweating but I have never had body odor. I had anti-perspirant on and I could still smell myself. yuck. I hope this is not a side effect of the hormones changing The summer is coming and it always gets super hot. Oh my, I hope this is just temporary. Anybody else have this happen to them? My daughter smelled me and said she could only smell my anti-perspirant. Whew.

Talk to you all soon.

Welcome Mags,
I had a headache the first couple days, after that you should feel much better. You will be amazed at how well this diet works, just follow the guidelines and the weight will drop off.

Hope everyone is doing well.
