I started the programme on the 4th of July, 06, and finished on the 2nd of July 07. One whole year. And worth every minute.
Seeya soon,

Hey Asy
I started the 11th December 2006 and finished march 2007 I lost 15kg. I have gained and lost over the last few months. I have to really stay focused to keep the weight off.....it will be my constant battle in life. I have already made up my weightloss/get fit resolution for the new year which I have posted in my diary.
Like I said it is a constant (advanced) plan.
Yes Cohens was definitely worth every miniute as well for me. I am so lucky I have found it as we all have.
Bye for now
Sam

alibi- Hi & welcome! This is it but it's really quiet at the moment for some reason. I type in my diary every day & usually someone else comes in but at the moment it's not happening. A lot are away on holidays, others just flat out. Start a new thread of your own & start a diary. I found it so helpful for myself. It's very therapeutic. Call it whatever you like "Alibi's............." I continue typing in mine every day, even though I have completed Cohen's as it keeps me accountable to myself & I promised I would. When I first started there was no-one about who had completed Cohen's & I was so curious about "life after Cohen's." I am going to stick to the maintenence guidelines forever as they are very sound & work for me. I feel great. I feel so healthy, so active & am starting to like(love?) my body. My "fat" image of myself is fading rapidly & I have regained much of my lost confidence. It's more than a body thing that's for sure, being obese. I am now tackling the other issues with confidence that I have the ability.
I wish you all the best with Cohen's. It has been life changing for me. I will keep an eye out for your posts.
Have a very merry Christmas. May 2008 be the year you want it to be, cheers, Cate.

I will definately start a diary, it sounds theraputic. Ive also been wondering about life after cohens... what is the food lifestyle like? I have no problem with cohens now- I find there is enough food and with a 3yo and 10mth old at my feet I dont get to flash with the recipes, just organise my protein and slice and weigh my lettuce! Im that busy preparing their meals and hubbies meals that it hasnt got boring so far!
Have a great xmas and thanks again for your reply

Hi All,
Well, I ended up deciding to wait until after New Years to start 'full on' (put on two kilos over Christmas!!)
But now, all my visitors have gone home and the Christmas ham is all gone...
Have been back on the wagon for five days today.....couldn't help myself but to jump on the scales this morning for a peek, and I've already dropped 4.4 kgs!!!! (I know that it is mostly fluid retention, but still feels good!!)
But damn it if I didn't just have a spoonful of cauliflower cheese and a forkful of roast beef Got major case of the guilts now and am sitting here sucking on my water Does anyone else have the problem of having to cook for family as well??? It's SOOOOO hard....I have a husband and three kids......might put them all on Cohen's too!!!
Anyway, tomorrow is another day...I have to go away on Wednesday for a wedding Saturday, so have been preparing frozen meals for six days....am determined not to break and hoping to drop a bt moe before then!!
Anyways, hope you all had a great New Years!!!

I have not been back at this forum for a while, but it's nice to see some familiar faces. Its great that everyone is doing so well. I finished Cohen's in Oct 2006, and lost about 13kg. I've actually put on about 7kg of it in the past year and have been down cuz it was hard work and now it seems like its all gone down the drain.
Tried going back but failed after 1 week and I thought since my 'body chemistry' had changed, the programme wasnt gonna work anymore. Tasha and anyone who's back on again - did you get a new programme? Is anyone using the old one and still losing?

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great Christmas and Nerw Year and that you are all back on your diets again ready for success.
I was on Cohens back in 2005 and had great success loosing 35 kgs and wish to go back on it again to loose about 10kgs.
I am in Victoria Australia and want to know if any of you have purchased the diet over the internet from Australia as there isnt any clinics close to me.
If you would please email me that would be great. joy@finer.com.au
THANKS

Hi Ladydenning,
I decided that I really couldn't justify buying a new program, and I have also moved to outback South Australia since I last did Cohen's, and there certainly aren't any clinics nearby!!
I was pretty well back at the weight I was originally, and I'm not really buying that my 'chemistry' has changed that much - was eating basically what I was eating pre-Cohens originally.
So far, the program has been working just as well as it did the first time (although I had a BIG wedding on the weekend which I had to go away for - and things kind of fell apart as far as eating Cohen's and not drinking...) anyway, today is a new day!!!!
I'm always much of a skepticist......I would assume that the 'chemistry changes' are more of a way to get more money than anything else (sorry to anyone who doesn't agree!!!)
I have seen plenty of people using other peoples programs successfully (although I know that they are not supposed to) - so there really can't be too much of a difference....
Anyway, up to you!
Hope everyone is doing well and is all prepared to get back into things for the New Year!! xox

Hi JOYSEY
Welcome to the forum. I tend to agree with Tasha about the program I have used my orginal plan post refeed. I would only buy another plan if it was not working as efficiently as the first time. Did you finish refeed last time? If so then I would just stick with your original plan. With regards to your internet purchase question.....I would probably ring a central or city based clinic and ask them what they provide for those living rural areas.
Hope this helps.
