Rep Power: 0 | | Hello There How are you all going?
My golly gosh, i have been catching up on all the posts i have not seen and my-oh-my.... girls, you are all looking so FANTASTIC!
Congraturlations to all of you on your achievements. What an inspriation!!!!
I have been well. I am trying to book in my second weigh in for late next week or the week after. Not too excited. My second month has been extrememly slow? Not sure what has happened, but i think i would have only lost about 4kg this month which is less than half of what i lost last month. People are telling me that the second month is always really slow because your body is stabilising and then the thrid month, your body kicks into gear and starts to really work. Did any of your guys go through the same thing as well? Was your second month really slow too?
I really wanted to get to 85kg by Christmas to be honest. I know it is unfair to set targets like that for myself, but it also keeps me going. The lifestyle is almost unbareable. Can not go to any parties, drink, eat..... you really take simple things for granted when you are not on Cohens.. Now with Christmas around the corner..... not sure if i can handle saying no to everything. Although to date, i have not deviated at all!
Nothing esle to report except that the end of year is nearing..... and so is my sanity! Life is busy. Parites, shopping, Birthdays, BBQs....
It is my birthday next week too.... im really struggling with the fact that i can not even have a slice of my own effen cake.....
sorry about the spelling. Hope you all have a great week. |

Well it is the end of day six and i was naughty today. I jumped on the scales and I promised myself I wouldn't. I have lost 2.5kg yeay!
I have been cooking everything in Sprite Zero lol - even my meat. I just can't get over how yummy everything tastes. It's like my taste buds have woken up.
I decided to take the evening primrose capsules to help with my flabby skin and i have noticed that i'm not having mood swings anymore. Double yeay!
Just a follow up on the hair loss thing - I spoke to someone who finished cohen's earlier this year and she said she experienced a lot of hair loss. Apparently the hair does grow back after you start eating normally again but the vitamins are so important in the mean time. Thank goodness i have thick hair but if it gets to thin, it's all coming off.
Cheers! |

Rep Power: 0 | | yummm! Thanks for the info Bright Yellow. I have lots of hair too, so I don't notice. But my BF is doing this with me and you know what guys are like with hair loss!
Great work! So was you being naughty getting on the scales - or did you not go 6 days without deviating? Either way... keep up the great work! How long has it taken to lose the 2.5?
I'm counting down the days to my weigh in. It's a great incentive to stick to it 100% - I haven't been distracted by any of the evil demons - both emotional and real (friends!).
I feel great, I can see the difference almost a month has made.
Update on the goal weight. I called the clinic that gave me the program and told them I thought my weight was a bit off. It WAS! ARGH... My goal is NOW 62-65kg. That's 7kg more - which means 7kg closer to my goal! WOOOO!! I'll aim for 65 and see how I go
I was inspired tonight and cooked the YUMMIEST dinner for a while. Thought I might share it for those who would like to try something nice.
I'll call it chicken a la inspiration Chicken allowance
Fresh basil (about 4g)
half a tomato (allowance) - diced small
zucchini (remaining allowance) - most grated - with a half cm thick round left over (diced small)
Mince chicken and basil in a food processor (fine but not smooth!)
Grate zucchini and mix (with hands or spoon) into chicken mince (add some ground sea salt for taste).
Heat frying fan (with a little oil spary) quite hot and pour mixture into the middle. Mould into a thick flat tight pancake shape with your turner.
Turn heat to medium and cook for about 4 minutes. Flip over and finish off until golden brown (ish).
Turn out onto a plate.
Put diced tomato, remaining diced zucchini, sprinkle fresh sea salt and ground black pepper into the frying pan (turn up to med-high) with a good splash of balsamic vinegar.
Squish contents with the back of your turner and move around the hot pan. Cook off the vinegar until the mixture is a thickish sauce and the tomato and zucchini is soft. (This part takes about 2 minutes).
Pour sauce over your chicken pancake and enjoy! Goal 1: Day 1 Monday (started 2nd time around 6 Nov 06) Goal 2: No deviations for 1 week Goal 3: Drop 10kg stat. Goal 4: Be under 100kg by Christmas! Goal 5: Weigh myself December 6! Goal 6: NO deviations for 2 weeks! |

Rep Power: 0 | | I have just returned from a business trip to Adelaide... and for the first time, I have lost weight on a business trip. It was only for 2 days and I lost a kilo. normally, I've either stayed stable, or put it on. So, hopefully that will continue, cause I have quite a lot of travel coming up... Brisbane, Perth... and the fun ones - Germany and Beijing, and possibly Japan. The 3 international ones will be in the first 3 months of next year, before I've finished. So, that will cause me some challenges!
But hopefully, I'll just accumulate frequent flyer points instead of kilos! |

Rep Power: 0 | | Living it - I too slowed right down in the 2nd month - just been away for 4 days and am having some trouble getting back on the band wagon. Have a really bad headache so it serves me right for deviating. Will be interested to see how the 3rd month goes

Rep Power: 0 | | Living it HANG IN THERE! you will get to eat birthday cake again soon! - just NOT YET!
My body has done the same thing, i lost almost 10kg in the first 4 weeks and 5.5kg in the next 4. however i am now offically a size 14, and have had to go shopping (DAMN life is hard!) for some new clothes for work to tide me over to my goal weight, and also new bra's (Doh!)
Things are still a bit weird/floppy/saggy on the fat side of things as it breaks down and my skin adjusts. I have noticed that my celulite is also running away as well which is pretty cool. FatCat I don't think the sleep will do you any harm, if anything i would imagine it'd be doing you good, as the HGH occurs in your sleep, and thats when your body breaks down the fat. However they do recommend to eat 2 hours before sleeping for the best effect.......... |

Rep Power: 0 | | | We have been working hard! Dear all,
It has been 10 days of no deviations and I'm looking forward to Day 11! I have been so busy for the past few days as I had a course to attend. The last day was a challenge because I was especially tired and I realized that I had cravings for sweet food. I wonder why... But anyway, I'm glad that I did not sucummb to it! I prayed really hard man...
Oh... on the first day of my course, I met up with my ex classmates and they were absolutely shocked at how different I have become. They couldn't recognize me and they said that I looked more radiant and vibrant. They were very impressed at how much I had lost and how much I had pesevered through. I guess the piece of action that touched me was that they made sure they were eating at places that allowed me to bring my own food to eat at the place. So I thought that gesture was sweet especially when we had not met up for a long time. Anyway, the thing was, I found myself being more accepted into their group. Maybe it's because I looked younger and more vibrant...
Another thing was I went shopping at Dorothy Perkins yesterday since there was a 20% sale. (Eversince I'm on the Cohen meal, I have been a sucker for sales!) And I realized that size 14 is too big for me! I'm now onto DP size 12! Of course, I think DP's cutting is more suited for big-built ladies but it means that I'm slowly reaching towards size 12!
For the past week, it has been tough for me because out of 5 dinners, I ate 3 outside. Did my best to eat salads with as little dressing as possible. I feel that I'm working damn hard on this program but again having a goal keeps me motivated. Anyway, I've been a naughty girl. I have been anxious about reaching to below 70 kg so I have been stepping on the scales every morning. This morning, my scales read 69.9 kg and when I weighed again, it was 70.2 kg. So which one should I take? Hee... I chose to take the lighter one... :P Anyway, this week, I lost only 600g. I hope this will get better soon. But I'm going to impose a ban on the scales for 1 week. Think this week was bad.. becoming too obsessed about my weight and for one day when I didn't lose any grams, I risked myself getting discouraged.
Anyway, just thought I should have an outlet here. I'm aiming for 14 days of no deviations and I'm going to reward myself to a movie. Till then, hopefully, I'm officially below 70 kg and I would have about 5 more kg to go!
Take care all, during the weekend! Continue to work hard1 |

Any piece of effort and any grams lost are steps nearer to your target weight. Keep going and be focussed.
I learnt that it's important to have enough sleep so that you won't deviate in the moment of feeling tired and "need a boost" at some time of the day. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
