Rep Power: 0 | | Mrs Clooney: I don't know about anyone else, but I'm never really not hungry. I'm fine after my meals for a bit, but sometimes after dinner I'll feel hunger. If I stay up too late, I get really hungry! I know others will say they get used to it, I guess it varies between the individual. Seeing as you've just started, you will feel more hungry as your stomach is adjusting. Keep sipping on your water, space out your crackers and fruit, and if you are chewing gum, maybe try a few days without, as this can spike hunger (production of saliva makes your stomach think you will be eating soon). itsmytime: yay for you... are you starting on the weekend? I know some people like to start things on a Monday - but I recommend starting as soon as possible. The sooner the bettre. Every day counts, and it's one day closer to the new you! Taffy: I can't see how it's anyone's business telling you what you should and shouldn't weigh. When people comment on how well I'm looking, and then I tell them I'm only half way, they do the 'suck air between the teeth' thing and say "- oh surely not... you'd only have a bit more to go!" I think people have a really warped sense of what healthy is these days. Goodluck anyway, it's great when people comment - it's even better when you start discovering things you've never used to do like you have! HL: I hope you are going to enjoy being over there, the walking will compensate for not being strict - so maybe relax a bit and do what you can within budget! I wouldn't worry so much, not being 100% is a deviation anyway, so just go healthy and watch your portion control. Just have fun!!!
Good to see all the new people here - goodlucky to everyone who's just started. But then again, you don't need luck, you just need to do it and it works - how easy is that.
I'm feeling a huge difference in my cloths. Today I'm wearing a shirt that not just 2 weeks ago was tight and the buttons strained. It's floating on me now!!! I'll hopefully be double digits in no time! Goal: double digits ASAP!! |

You need to have the blood test either the day before the due date, on the due date or the day after the due date ... otherwise you have to wait another 4 weeks (due to the monthly weight loss cycle).
Just call your consultant and they will tell you the next due date for your blood test ...
Kind regards

Rep Power: 0 | | MrsClooney: weigh your total piece of beef (make sure it is dividable by 115gms) work out how many portions you get from the whole. Cook it, then weigh it cooked and divide the cooked weight by how many portions you got. Then cut off your allowances and store in your freezer bags.
Hope that makes sense. Jools:hating yourself isn't going to achieve anything. Find the motivation (get some old pics of yourself and pin them on the fridge!), post here when you need some encouragement and get back on the wagon and take it day by day. Set yourself some goals and you'll be finished before you know it! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Behavioural Psychology and Kinship Thanks to those who commented on the issue with my sis. Yes, we are siblings, I love her, and whatever happens, whether she comes round to the fact that I'm going to be slimmer, has a 'Dr Phil' or eureka or whatever moment, I'll still be the same to her. Fortunately I have you bunch of folks to be my cheerleaders! Thankius thankius
I find it very interesting how others are reacting to the weight loss. Mother-in-law: she's been trying to persuade my husband her son to eat dinner prepared by her; "just eat less lah" she says. We visit almost every Sat night for dinner before starting on Cohens. We still visit, just that we don't eat at her place anymore. My dad: "oh my goodness! you've lost so much weight!" then strokes his tummy and says "I also want to lose some weight" I'm sure he's gone back to swimming regularly. My mum: nonchalantly asks "we're going for dim sum lunch this sunday. what are you going to do?" and doesn't mind if we skip visiting her. My colleagues: many are rooting for me but the one I'm closest to is distancing herself...won't even wait 15 minutes so I can join her for lunch! So be it.
I find I'm looking more and more in the mirror, admiring the slimmer thighs, sharper face, slimmer calves keke |

DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MISS A BLOOD TEST. i LOST MY BOOK AND NOW I AM A BOUT A WEEK OVER. CAN I STILL HAVE IT??????? | If it is not too strong I can offer you some tough love : " What have you got to lose! your fat arse?" (I dont mean it in a cruel picking on you way, just a motivational way)
I wouldnt be worried about your missed blood test until you eating at least 99% with plan. Get back on the plan, have your blood test 4 or 5 days afterward, I understand you shouldnt overrun 1 month without a blood test (meaning 2 months between tests), when I got a gall bladder attack and had some olive oil, fresh sardines and some salmon (over 2 days) to help expel some bile, I was told that I dont need to bother about the blood test that month, so next month (means 2 months between tests) I had it and Dr Cohen altered my plan very slightly (very very slightly) the next month.
The question for you is why "hate yourself" ? Gosh it is just some food right? I hate child molesters!
Better questions within yourself will get better answers: Bad is if you always ask yourself "Why do I always fail on diets?" your brain is going to come up with "Because I am a weak loser!", so better questions "What 5 things I can start doing right now to improve my motivation to stay on the plan and avoid tempations ?"
Here is one suggestion to get yourself back on the rails, go shopping and pre-purchase 1 weeks of cohen foods, yogurts, meats, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruits and crackers and 100 ziplock bags and spend 4 hours getting your meals organized for a full week! So you can just be on autopilot mode for what you are going to eat, and can just focus on eating what you have already prepared! |

bit peeved tonight. my husband bought the groceries in and didnt put my prawns away (i was elsewhere) so they are off from sitting in heat. nothing in the house so i had yoghurt for breaky and stir fry from last night for lunch. but my prawn salad turned into egg salad. is that bad that the egg and yoghurt are from the same MEAL group??
