Well, at least you now have a neck! The shorter hair style is much more becoming - shows off your shoulders, face and neck much more than the previous style. Very chic!
You have dropped about ten years and a handsome figure is emerging. The paisley top would look fantastic on you now - I have always been a fan of paisley, it is such an elegant design, but now instead of the top trying to disguise what cannot be disguised, the top can be worn for its own glory!
To come down from 116 kilos to 86 kilos is fantastic - what a stunner you will be at 59 kilos! Even your own Mother will have trouble recognising you!!
Don't worry about the skin. The body is doing one job first, it will then do another. My throat and face have 'bounced back' - when I first finished the program the lines around the mouth were a little deeper, but now, six months later, everything has smoothed out again.
So just keep on, it will all sort itself out. I have continued to take the fish oil capsule each day and I am convinced that this wonderful stuff has really contributed to the general good health of the skin. If you haven't been taking an oil capsule (ONE) each day you may care to consider starting soon for at least the remaining 27 kilos.
At this rate, you will have reached goal and completed refeed by the end of the Financial Year. Hmmm. That Tax Refund will come in mighty handy for the wardrobe replacement fund - and maybe some streaks in the new hairstyle, too, and some lovely, long, dangly ear rings to show off that elegant and gracious neck!
My transformation to this point is not as great as yours but I'm still pretty pleased with the way I'm beginning to look. My skin still has a long way to go in the shrinking stakes and I seem to have lost a lot off my face so my neck looks a bit scraggy but hell.... who's complaining.
Dizzy
Hi Dizzy,
We have very similar starting, ending and current weights! I'm about 3-4 kgs ahead of you - about 83 currently. I also have a similar pear shape to you......
You are looking fantastic - and it will just get better and better
Can I make a clothes suggestion? But I found that my shape is far more suited to wrap or crossing over tops, so long as the wrap isn't right under the bust - it needs to be low down, near the waist or hips. I've found these particularly helpful, as my shrinkage always occurs first in the bust, leaving me looking even more hippy. Now that I fit into hipster pants, I also find them very flattering and slimming.
Its my 6 month mark on Saturday, so I'll add some photos on that day.
omgsh.
i really didnt realise JUST how fat i actually was
the first thumbnail is at my brothers engagement party in march (i was wearing the leopard print dress WHAT WAS I THINKING)...and the second thumbnail is at work on NYE just past..ive only lost 10 kilo atm so ive still got the 20 kilo photo, then 30 kilo photo to go...
Hi guys
Thanks for all the wonderful feedback. I didn't realise how large I had gotten until I look back at photos - I think it must be a self-protective mechanism to not see yourself as others see you.
Chelsea- I am already taking fish oil but am still finding my skin is really dry. It seems to go in cycles where my hands are almost peeling and the weight is dropping off and then the weight loss stops, my hands improve and the cm start falling off. The body is an incredible thing!! I was also thinking of chopping all my hair off when I get to goal as I have always wanted of those little pixie cuts but haven't had the face for it.
Heavenlylamb - thanks for the suggestion of the wrap tops. The photo was actually taken in my uniform and I am limited as to what I can wear, but for civvies I will certainly look into them. We do have similar goals. I started 16 weeks ago 0n 4th Seeptember. When did you start?
Cath, Pumpkins and Nans - thanks for your comments. It's just incredible how this forum helps with the support.
FAT CAT! For only ten kilos the change is remarkable - you actually do not look overweight in your 10kg picture.
Fantastic work girl.
Keep it going!
Cath
MellyP - thats just what I needed to see - thanks
How hard has the journey been - and was it easier than you thought - or does the weight loss keep the motivation? You are looking good - my goal is also around 54 - lets see who gets there first?
haha
I'm an ex-cohens girl, coming back after maintaining my refeed weight just to loose 6 more kg.
I have a few after photos on my webpage under "new" and all the other photos are the old me. I started weight loss at my peak weight of 96kg and now maintain at about 64.5kg. I'd like to get into the 50's even though i'm at my"goal weight"
Netski: your 'new' photos are amazing. You look like a totally different person. Fantastic achievement and very inspirational. I'm sure the next you will get to your goal of losing the next 6 kgs. What an adoring husband you have, all the best to both of you.
Thanks guys!i think im going to print up a copy of my ' before' photo and stick it on the fridge to remind myself of what im doing
Di78 - your so kind!your pics (as well as fab chelseas) are what motivate me each day.that pic was taken two weeks after my 4 week weigh in and as i only weigh once a month i could of lost an extra 2 or three kgs when that pic was taken..did that make sense? :P
Cath - hehe lovely comment! its probably because i pretty mostly black clothes now...i think its going to take a long time to get me back into some colourful outfits hehe
Netski-you look GREAT!! how tall are you if you dont mind me asking?? my goal weight is 66 but i have a close friend who is same height as me and weighs 59 and looks terrific which makes me think of going down to around 60 kg..?
Wishes- I would hate to think what everone was thinking when i walked into that engagement party! i remember actually thinking i looked preety darn good...but we all can turn a blind eye to what we dont want to see huh??
I will let you all know how my 8 week weigh in goes next friday on the cohens thread!!
fat cat: i'm 164cm- but i'm a bit of a gym/exercise nut so i actually have a low body fat percentage and hugh muscle density- therfore i look smaller than i weight . Which is very hard because people tell me i look great but the scales still say 64.5
nans68: i finished my refeed late september last year and when i finished i weighed 64.5kg howver my goal weight really was 62kg. BUT i was also advised that because i'm so active i may need to do it a little sooner so i just waited untill the hunger became so unbearable that i was unable to function- at all - or sleep ( i developed mild insomnia associated with the weight loss)
Anyway i feel i could do with a few more kg's gone as i'll be copeteing a lot this year and the more i weigh the harder it will be so its a small price to pay.
I started at 96kg so i had a lot of time to think about tips and advice as i went through the kg's- its free and i give very open advice-sometimes i'm a bit brutally honest though
current number 1 tip- find 2 dinners which you really like and 2 lunches and then eat them every day for as long as you can handle- the more to disassociate yourself with food and pleasure the better . After all medicine never tastes great!
