I was reading the previous posts and I think all of you should be really proud of yourselves.
Lonnie, It's Christmas and you didn't deviate much at all! I remembered I did that last Christmas... But I really feel you deserve a good pat on your back. I'm really proud of you and full of admiration of you!
Chelsea... I really admire the strong mindset that you have. It's constantly a reminder for me that I should be strong and stick to the program and not cave in to any temptations. It's even harder especially when your friends or relatives do not really understand the restrictions of the program and offers you healthy food, only to be bewildered at why you are refusing it (cos it's not on the Cohen list.)
Let me honest with you all... I'm having a major Christmas dinner this Sat and the food is just too good to refuse. I'll also be travelling overseas next Thursday and I know that I cannot order the Cohen foods while I'm in that country (so which means I will have to deviate somehow...) But anyway, the point is... I am thinking of letting loose on Sat's dinner, simply because it's only once in a year that I get to eat turkey and sausages.
That's what going through my mind now. Perhaps it might change on Sat... heh heh...
i have 3 upcoming xmas dinners to cope wif... juz hoping i wun deviate too much... had a trip to bangkok for 6 days last week.. came back wif lotsa shopping but also another xtra 3.5kgs... had to blame myself... juz had to succumb to the delicious tom yum.. however been back on the wagon the very next day i came back... 5 days of no deviations and i wan to continue on... but how to survive the next 3 xmas dinners... all are in restaurants... and not allowed to bring own food...
I do NOT intend to deviate over Christmas. I read an article from a 15yo on Friday in our newsletter and she said if a 15yo can last over Christmas then anyone can. I managed to survive a Christmas party on Sunday. I had chicken and salad for lunch (the amounts may not have been exact but I have a pretty good idea now after 11 weeks on the program) and alternated my drinks between a glass of water and a glass of soda water in a wine glass (just to feel the part). I am so glad I did. I feel so much better for it.
We have our staff party on Wednesday and I will be having prawns and salad for dinner.
Christmas day is intended to start with an omlette, lunch will be stuffed chicken and roast veg (from the Cohenrecipes) and dinner either fish and veg or bbq steak and veg. In between I will have fruit sorbets, salt and vinegar crackers, etc (all from the Cohens recipes). For drinks I will do what I did on Sunday and maybe throw in a diet coke or something.
Best to all over Christmas. Have a good Cohen Christmas and New Year!!
Well just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and that we all get through the madness that is Christmas Day how we wish too. Best wishes to those that plan not to deviate and also to those that plan on 'relaxing' somewhat. By keeping our goals in mind and remembering where our journey started we can get through the temptations and 'just a little won't hurt' from our nearest and dearest (and not so dearest ).

Well I survived Xmas. It wasn't really that hard. We had dinner at our house so I was really busy and didn't have time to stop and think. I made my own stuffed chicken and roasted some zucchini, mushroom, capsicum and cauli. It was lovely and I didn't feel deprived. I then had kiwi for desert.
The next day I was soooo glad as it was weigh and measure day. (I cheat and mostly weigh and measure each week). I lost 2.4 for the week and 11cm. I was thrilled.
I hope you all had a great Xmas day.
I hope you all have a great New Year too.
Good for you ATA......I too managed to get through the silly season without deviating - it was pretty easy as we were away but nonetheless quite an achievement.
Must be the first christmas I have lost weight instead of gaining it.....
Mango does wonders as I consider it a luxury anyway.....
