How wonderful to be at your recommended weight, wahhhoooo to you.. I can't wait till i'm at my goal weight, I fully got ear bashed by my family over xmas saying that i was been unrealistic and that dr cohen has no idea what he's on about cause i will become sick and look way to thin at that weight, gee's i was very upset and ate a fair amount of cake and goodies, not cause of that, cause of xmas really. but i can't believe that people can say that i will look to thin when they have never seen me at that weight, I have no idea what i'll look like but there is a serious amount of visalble fat on me so i think they must be jealous or something, sorry about the rant. i needed it really, have been stewing over it for a while now. i think people a mean and cause they can't do something they think you shouldn't either, very dissapointing. any way congrats again janine what a top effort,

I know EXACTLY what you mean!
I lost count of how many times I heard "That's enough now" over the weekend and most of it is now coming from Hubby (who I must add has lost 16kg by just 1/4 following (very) loosely the idea of Dr Cohen's plan! )
I must admit when I saw that my ideal weight was 66-69kg, I thought how the hell am I going to manage that - how unrealistic! but to my surprise I am nearly there and I certainly don't think that I am looking scrawny!!!
I will try and put up a photo - and you tell me what you think! Janine |

Rep Power: 0 | | | herm congratulations on your achievement. By the way, the photo is wonderful. Not at all scrawny, just healthy and slim. Di I think people do become quite jealous of our success and worry about being left behind. There are so many ways to sabotage ourselves, and being around negative thinking is a major cause of many of us failing. Whilst it is our choice to deviate, the negative influences that many of us have grown up with will always have an effect on our behaviour and thinking. Recognising this is a huge part of our 'recovery' so that we can be the slim person that we know is lurking inside.

Rep Power: 0 | | Hey there janinie your pic looks awesome, not at all scrawny, you look fabulous. I'm finding it hard to imagine what i'm going to look like but i'm definately not giving up,
hey lonniecee
Your right about the other people feeling left behind... I think i've got so many now trying to sabatoage me, but in a way it makes me so much more determined to stay on track and get to my goal (not that I ate well over xmas but I am back on track now)
I'm glad to see that everyone is still participating in the height weight and size, it's so interesting to see isn't it.
Happy new year to all

I am 165cm tall and now weigh 60 kilos.
This is a size 10 tailored pant and a size 8 stretch jean.
I have no bottom left at all. I mean it, none.
Tops are size 8 for stretch fabric, size 10 in a tailored shirt and 10 in a jacket.
10 is a bit loose but better for business clothing.
My ideal weight range was 58 to 60 kilos. I regret not going down to 58 kilos but am not going to mess about with it now. I have been 60 kilos for six months and very pleased with the result (but another 2 kilos would have given me a better fit in the jeans!)
Regarding people saying rude things about 'getting too skinny':
If I said to these people 'well, if you eat any more you will burst your skin like a ripe melon' I would be howled down as a rude and vulgar person and how could I be so cruel?!?
Yet because I have lost weight, and made no secret of doing so, and told everybody how much I enjoyed the program and how easy it was, my enjoyment and satisfaction is taken as a rebuke against those who hang on to their obesity like it is some kind of prize! Trophy Obesity! Victim Obesity, more like it. 'Oh, well, I've tried everything and I just can't lose weight (munch, munch)!'
Well, they haven't tried Cohen's.
As Yoda said: 'Do or do not, there is no try' Cohen's has no room for a victim mentality. This is it, the jig is up! This program will and does work but giving up our obesity takes a mental leap from victim to victor.
But, of course, us skinny people are just megla-maniacs, crowing about our size 8 jeans and being mean to people we have given pamphlets and information to and who choose to wallow about in their fatness because they 'just can't help it'.
Yeah, right!
Ladies and Gents, onwards and upwards. Come next Christmas, we will be in our smart new clothes, slim and trim, and our critics and detractors will still be wearing their sack cloth and ashes moaning about how 'nothing seems to work for them'.
Do not give up until you reach Goal Weight, and even then drop another kilo or two, just for good measure. Believe me, nothing tastes as good as being slim feels, and losing 28 kilos / 4 stone / 60 pounds has given me a whole new lease on life and bah! humbug! to people who feel threatened by me as I dance along light as a breeze!
... and you should see the lethal stillettos I bought last week to wear with another pair of new, skin tight, stretch leg jeans! Lacy toes, and fully 4 inch heels!!! I had to practise wearing them around the house before I could go out and prowl around at Christmas Drinks! Hehehehahahaheheh! Oh, this is so much fun! Too skinny, indeed! Let them eat my dust!
Cheers and much manic laughter
Chelsea (that skinny 56 year old over there with the painted toe nails and the size 8 hot pink and white striped tee shirt! Yeah!) |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I'm 163cm and currently 91.3 kg (ticker not updated until I have official weigh-in). Fitting into all 18s on bottom and 16s on top at the moment. Cant wait to pull out the size 16s and 14s hanging in the cupboard with the mothballs.
My figure is all bum and thighs, but the area I can see the difference in is my top half - my bras are fitting nicely and tops are not pulling at the buttons - a great feeling!
Keep going everyone - you're doing great

Rep Power: 0 | | Hi Everyone out there,
Hope you are all doing well. I'm very new to all this posting/Forum stuff. I was doing some research into the Cohen's program and after reading through this forum, I'm a beliver. I'll contact the consultat tomorrow fill in the forms, pay the money and go get my blood test done. I have just one question, on the Cohen's webpage their's an ideal weight caculator, that asks for your height and shoe size. Well, I'm 1.62cm and have a size 6 foot, so, the web page puts my ideal weight at 56-53kgs. I don't ever remember being that size, it seems a little unrealistic. What do you think out there. |

My goal weight is 61-64 but i want to get to 58 kilo's not that I have ever been that small ever, and everyone thinks it's unrealistic, i think go with it and you never know, soon the new you will be revealed, I think if your a size 6 shoe you probably have a very small bone structure so it's possible.

Rep Power: 0 | | | Hi all Hi Guys,
Its nice to see everyone doing so well. Quick update-i'm excohens(although the way i look at it, you are never off ) but i reached my goal weight , and did refeed last year in october/sept. I've actually decided to come back and loosed 6 more Kg's . I'm competing this year in triathalons and endurance cycling and although i'm 164cm and 64.5kg and very toned- lycra still scares me. I'd really like to be in that sub 60 group.
Currently as i said i'm 24yrs old-athletic/sporty build( not the tall slender type, more the chunky variety with short limbs, sort of like a fit hobbitt)
64.5kg
164cm
size 10 tailored and 8 stretch top and bottom
I'm starting my program for a quick 6 weeks and then my refeed once again. So thats a total 8 weeks-no more . If the last few kg's dont shift then i know i'm at my "sweet spot" and not to mess with the delicate balance but no harm in trying right????????
When you are off the "program" and on maintenece and choose to go back if you are on it for more that 2 weeks they suggest you also re-do refeed
i hope this helps
I started at 96kg
size 16-18

I will be interested in your progress, particularly in that you have obviously achieved a stable weight after losing the 32 kilos from 96 to 64.
I think I joined the forum just as you were finishing.
I achieved the top of the ideal weight range at 60 kilos 165cm, and regret that I didn't go to the bottom of the range. I was not hungry at any time and had been told to expect hunger when I had reached my own personal ideal weight, not just the statistical ideal weight.
I definitely have some fat left over but haven't been confident about going back on to the program even for a period as short as two weeks, which would definitely take me below 58 kilos.
So I shall be watching your progress with great interest. I consider myself slim now, have been stable for six months and proud of what I have achieved, but there is still that niggling doubt that I pulled the plug too soon
Cheers

Watch this space!!!!! I'm really excited about being back. Congrats on your amazing success.
Unlike your experience, as i was approaching my goal weight i was amazingly STARVING. It was absolutely unbearable, and i'd like to think i have a very high tolerance to being hungry.
At this weight i can have a few naughty moments and still stay quite stable. I am EXTREMELY active and i'm certain i burn off what i eat
BUT
i cant help but look at the numbers on the scale and be disappointned with myself, i always finish what i start- i'm a stubborn taurus
Take care, good luck with your continued maintenence - and if those 2kg get to you..............i'll be you personal cheer squad, it'll be a breeze look at what you've already acheived |
