Rep Power: 0 | | | Day 1 Refeed - Tick! Annie, Di and Char - thanks for the encouragement yes i hope i blitz refeed too and not have to go back any days! As for you di i am going to give you a great bick kick up the tooshie because you were supposed to beat me to refeed!! Alls well that ends well though because you SERIOUSLY do not have long to go i know you can do it and you know you can do it so just DO IT!
well today was good! looking over my refeed it seems as though i have bits were ill have two or three days of the same thing and then something gets increased or 'tweaked' which seems so logical as i dont want to be suddenly piling all this meat or fruit or bread into my mouth and wondering why im heavier the next day!
so today i increased my lunch and dinner meals (im keeping my breakfast meals the same throughout refeed as cannot increase your yoghurt cheese or egg type allowance and i always have a yoghurt brekkie) but its so weird how even 35 grams more of protein / veges can make you fuller for longer!
i finished my dinner about 30 minutes ago and im pleasantly full! haha! strange to think the same meal just 35 grams 'lighter' left me wanting more but i guess its cos my body was giving me the 'hungry' signs so yeh!
soooo glad im doing this on my study break,even though my days are going to be spent researching and typing up 2 presentations due in the first week back and assignments (i have one due this thurs ) PLUS ill be studying for a mid term thats taking place the first week back grrr so at least i can do refeed at home in my pajamas rather then lugging around food at uni and feeling affects of the different foods im introducing!
So until tomorrow happy losing everyone (even me hopefully ha!)

Rep Power: 0 | | | I'm so glad Day 1 went well hun. And you WILL blitz it, i'm sure. I'm sure it will be so much easier doing it at home instead of lugging it all to Uni. That would have been a pain in the butt, especially if something didn't agree with you.....lol.

Rep Power: 0 | | | Day 2 Refeed - Tick! Yeah so today has been really frustrating in regards to the 'whole wheat' bread thing.
my program says im allowed white, brown or whole wheat bread. it doesnt say 'whole grain' or 'whole meal' like all the friggen normal breads are. Ive spoken to my consultant and she keeps saying 'whole wheat' means no grains no seeds.
okay so being anal i rang up bakers delight...
Me: " Hi errr i was wondering if you had whole wheat bread?"
Bakers delight girl: " You mean wholeMEAL or wholeGRAIN??"
Me: no i mean wholeWHEAT..
BDG: ' uhh..i think they are the same arent they?'
Me: "okay well what would u recommend?"
BDG: " The cape seed loaf is really popular"
Me: "Kay thanks for your help !"
so i get on the internet to look up cape seed loaf and its got all kinds of seeds and grains in it and even AROUND it....BUT MY CONSULTANT SAID NO SEEDS OR GRAINS!!!!
For f@*$*@ks sake, i mean seriouslyyyyyyy. Im just going to stick to white bread, get the Hi-Fibre Lo-Gi loaf, i even checked the ingredients...
WHEAT flour,WHEAT starch,WHEAT gluten etc etc....that should be enough friggen whole wheat for ya! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
although i do thank irene (isparkle50) she did try to help me best i could i must of been so annoying to her so if your reading this irene THANKYOU so much and APOLOGIES!!!
In regards to today ive been feeling really off and really bloated even though i had 'bowel movement' on sunday...the only thing i really did different was have apple with my yoghurt, then another apple with crackers 2 and a half hours later..maybe too much sugar/carbs to close together?? i DID have a plum this afternoon though (1 good fruit was introduced today) which was delisioso!! and i had the tiniest bowel movement which may mean ill have a bigger movement tomorrow and feel better..hope so!
other then that everythings been fine and dandy - cept for my scales which gave me three readings lol!! so i jotted all three down and will see what i weigh tomorrow morning

I stuck to the cheap Woolworth's generic bread and alternated between the brown and white in regular slice. I had no reactions with them.
I kept it simple. These breads also were not think sliced or to too large.

Rep Power: 0 | | thanks for your help sam , im feeling really depressed this morning as ive gained 400grams over the past two days and i havent even introduced bread yet. Now im scared that introducing bread today will lead to over a kilo gain tomorrow which means going backwards its really frustrating.
looking over past peoples refeeds they seemed to have gained weight the 2nd day of refeed but then had a loss the next day..
not me i gained 200 grams the first night then another 200 last night!
will update at end of day! xx |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Day 3 Refeed - Tick! So i emailed my consultant cos i was really worried about me gaining MORE weight and going backwards into refeed and she sent me one back saying 'not to worry it will all drop off' ... so i felt a a little better...
then she added in the next paragraph 'but if you do gain a kilo or over you your body probably wasnt ready for that amount of food so you will have to go back two days..' ... so then i felt like shit
hahaha but then after lunch my mood perked up, i had an open chicken sandwich with fresh english spinach, red onion, tomato, mushroom and cucumber..and i didnt get bloated or feel sick woo hoo ! the funniest thing is...my bread had grains in it!! HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
in the email my consultant recommended that i get 'Helgas' bread so off to woolworths i trotted...when i went into the bread aisle (which seemed so foreign to me now ) i spotted the helgas bread and staring me in the face was a loaf called 'Farmhouse Wheat' OHHH this must be the wholeWHEAT she was talking about...it wasnt until i was at home eating my sandwich i took a good look at it and noticed the grains LOL!!!but hey i checked the package and its allllllll WHEAT..WHOLE WHEAT so as far as im concerned this is what ill be eating. and no bloating or sick feeling just proved it even more 
i took two coloxyl today as well to get some bowel movement happening (as in the morning i felt that feeling you get in the pit of your tummy, you know how you can just 'feeeeeeel' that theres something there that needs to be shifted...!!!
well im off to finish this bloody essay ive been procrastinating to do tonight!

Rep Power: 0 | | | Refeed Day 4 - Tick! Hey guys this will be a bit of a short one as i may be going out tonight so i thought i better post now before i have tea to let you all know whats going on!
well this morning marks the day i am exactly 1 kilo up from my starting refeed weight i reang my clinic first thing and they said to continue with the normal refeeding plan BUT if tomorrow morning im OVER the kilo hump then i go back two days (so instead of eating fridays portions i eat wednesdays etc)
im not happy about this at all but i guess it had to happen to some of us and maybe this can also in return help the rest of you so i feel a teeny bit better knowing that.
Logically in my head though i am trying to prepare myself for going back two days as today i increased my food portions AGAIN so therefore more food = more weight...gee i hope not i hope my body goes whacko and i wake up tomorrow not gained!
did have SOME bowel movement again today but i dont think its enough to get me over (or should i say under ) my kilo hump lol
did incorporate spinach into all my meals though..
ANYWAY gotta run hope everyone had a better day then me!

well i the good news is i havent had to go backwards...yet (that yet is always in the back of my mind)
Can anyone please help me try to understand this ....
this morning i work up and went to the toilet and then decided to jump on the scales straight after...well at first it gave me three readings of 1.1 kilos over (which i thought F*@$^*K have to go back two days)....i was thinking about this for a couple of minutes and then i thought id hop back on the scales just to make sure i was 1.1 over...well this time i got 5 consisted readings of 71.1 (which was 600 grams over the previous)... i decided not to weigh myself after the 5th time i saw 71.1 as i thought id jinx myself!
ANYWAY so i had breakfast (600 mls water, yoghurt with apple + teaspoon of psyllium) and decided to head back to bed for another nap....
waking up about 3 hours later i got up and thought id just weight myself to see how much id put on since breakkie...
i was back down to 70.5!!!! what the hey??
anyone have any thoughts??
I regards to refeed - today i was increasing my veggies at lunch and dinner and im still not finding the meals to be 'too much food' 
hope i can continue moving ahead tomorrow as i get to have 2 bad fruits (which will be plums ) on top of my original 2 fruits allowance for the day, since tuesday ive been able to have 1 bad fruit on top of my original allowance mmmm i love fruit!!

I"ve received my refeed and am having my consult on Thursday so you are giving me a great insight into what is ahead. I'm a couple of weeks behind you as i'm just under 3kgs from my top goal but have been getting the odd 'hunger' feeling so I'm feeling that maybe the top of 57 rather than the lower 54kg maybe where I'm needing to be. Thanks for the laughs and the info you've been providing, truly wonderful.
