Hey everyone,

I have been so inspired see all the transformations on the forum, I want to start my own journal documenting mine here.

I am very much what you would term as skinny fat. I know my transformation might not be as dramatic as some of the others on this forum, but I still very much need to get fitter. To be honest I am quite fed up with myself, because I have been trying to lose that stomach bulge since I was 18 and have never been successful. I am not 24 years old and it's now or never! My goal is to have a flat stomach without the flab and toned legs and butt. (As you can see from the pictures my butt is very in need of some shaping up).

Can anyone recommend some butt workouts?

In the past I would try to eat better but cutting out fried foods, creamy, fatty things, but I would never go all the way. For example I loved sushi and would have it for lunch everyday. The only real exercise I did was running on the treadmill for 45 minutes. Will running definitely get rid of the fat around my stomach and tone up my legs and my butt which is my goal? Is 45 minutes overkill? I did it quite regularly but not systematically and thus never saw any real results.

I would very much appreciate someone to tell me what works and what doesn't. Up to this point I've only known how to use the treadmill and not much else. I have this fear of getting too muscular and that's absolutely NOT what i am aiming for.

My goal is to have a svelte and toned figure, athletic but still feminine looking but nothing too overboard.

Right now I am 5'2.5 inches tall and weight 110 lbs or 50KG approximately on an empty stomach. I've always placed my goal weight at 100 pounds but I don't know what that actually entails, weighing so little. I don't want to lose my boobs, for instance, what little there is anyway.

How long does everyone anticipate it will be until I achieve my goal weight of 100 pounds? Is this even an appropriate goal? I simply want to tone up my legs and lose that stomach bulge and get rid of some of the fat in my face.

Food wise I really need to figure out how to make tasty dishes that are low calorie friendly too. All I know is baked chicken breast with steamed vegetables and salads, and that stuff gets old.

It's nearly midnight here so I will start my journey officially tomorrow!!!

Thanks for reading!! :cheers2:

I am a very large long time weight lifter and ex- athlete ( I'm now 48 ) . I am very big even when lean but due to very serious injury compilations ( that still plague me everyday ) I became VERY inactive for a couple of years and as I was used to being able to eat ALOT while I was intensely active without gaining fat I continued to have a huge appetite after I became more or less crippled. My diet also suffered as I sank into deep depression having lost my able to train and lead an active life .
In short I gained a huge amount of weight by the time I realized it. I finally came to my senses and even though I was still unable to walk or stand for very long I forced myself to endure the pain and began lifting weights again. I have since lost over 100lbs though weight training and dieting but still have a long way to go to reach my former self. I plan to start a visual and written record
as soon as I am able to get some digital pictures up of myself.
I am looking forward to interacting with other members here as I work toward dropping another 100lbs

HEY everyone. I had a tiny diary on here a few weeks ago (under a different name) and I think I was just too stressed and went about everything the wrong way. So here I am starting all over again and I'm ready to do it right this time. So once more I'll share a little about myself. I'm 21 years old, 5'2", and I weigh about 138 lbs. (need to change my ticker) My little story is pretty simple. I never dealt with weight issues until a couple years ago. Throughout my teen years I was steady at about 120-122 lbs. Which was a decent weight for my height. But a little over two years ago I got sick with bad ulcers and acid reflux which caused me a lot of pain. After I found out what was wrong with me I was scared to eat anything for fear of it coming back. I ate VERY small portions only a couple times a day and drank nothing but tons of water. I lost weight at a very unhealthy pace and got down to about 109 in just a couple weeks. When I did get over my fear a couple months down the road and started to eat normal again all my weight and then some came back pretty quickly. Before I knew it I was up to around 147 lbs. at my highest. The weight comes and goes but I've been sitting at about 140-142. I just want to get down to a healthy weight and be fit. My goal is 120 lbs. Anywhooo I've just been going to the gym again and eating right just trying to get back into the swing of things.

A journal to loose 40lbs

My name is Amy and I am starting a journey to loose 40lbs. My current weight is the heighest it has ever been at 178 (I'm 5'6). My final goal is between 135-138.
I currently lead a pretty sedentary life, at work I sit at a computer all day and at home I watch TV and read.
Over the last few weeks I have been really thinking about how carrying the extra weight has been effecting me - low self esteem, not wanted to go out, tired, sore feet and knees. It is time for a change! I am planning on updating this forum once a week with weight and food choices (good and bad) over the week. I have enjoyed reading other's posts for insipration and advice.
I am also particpating in the 100 day challenge (starting today) - where you have to do something active for at least 30 minutes for 100 days in a row!
Here are my ideas to loose this weight;

- watch my calories (between 1500-1800 per day?)
- 40 minutes of cardio 6-7 days a week
- daily walks
- pilates/yoga
- less junk food
- more water

Does anyone else have ideas?
