Hi I have begun posting in the Weight Loss table, and according to the figures i have input,it says that my BMI is 26.15.
Some of theonline calculators i have been usingput it around 29 to 30 and thats why i have set my targets to lose another 15 Kgs.
Seeing my BMI at 26.15 ,means that i need to lose another 5-6 Kgsinstead of another 15 Kgs.
SHould I take this BMI as accurate n stat celebrating?
I think a dr could give you better information. alot of those bmi calculators dont take in frame size or the ratio of muscle or fat. I know its not an answer to your question but its just my two cents worth.......
I would recommend getting a body composition analysis (impedance plethsysmography). It's amazing to see what your body is made of. I must have left mine in a binder at the office, but it's really neat to see which if your limbs weigh more/less, bmi, and everything else.
Mine was 'free' at my initial consultation with my bariatrics doctor. I will get one done every 6 weeks to see what is happening with my body's composition as I lose.
