Is there some alternative to the Flashchat - it seems to crash my browser every single time.
Is it just IRC? or some other web based thing?

it is weird to have it crash two seperate machines. It is simply flash based, so unless your computers have a problem with flash, it should not crash. But, then again, i didn't build it, so anything is possible.

As far as other software, this one is the one that has the best results and easiest to use. We have gone through about 10 different chat programs through various forums, and this one was rated the best by users (and also happens to be the easiest to install). I will look to see if there is an upgrade, but i'm not sure if that would have any affect ...

If its any help i get an error about a script not responding, ill see if i can replicate it again from home and write it down before it crashes if you want.

Do many people use the chat?

it's not used that often the main page should show you if anyone is in there - but it's not always accurate (I thinkit holds onto names for a while after aperson has left)

Do you have IE - it might be an issue of firefox not playing nicely with flash...

Nah I cant use IE, i dont have windows at all (Linux only).

I might try grabbing a vmware image from work with windows on it to see how it goes.
