Rep Power: 0 | | | Any new moms out there trying to lose this baby fat?? I see that there hasn't been any recent posts for awhile. Any moms out there trying to lose this baby fat? I had a big ol' boy in April (9lbs, 11ozs) I gained about 55 pounds (ugh!!) I have already lost 35.. but these last 20 lbs are holding on for dear life. I am breast feeding and it is going just great. He is a healthy 18 pound 3 month old! You would think he would have sucked all the fat out of me! I am looking for other moms to chat with and build some support for each other. I also have a 3 year old girl who will be 4 at the end of Sept (going on 14!) Anyone else?? |

Rep Power: 0 | | Finding the energy to exercise?? Hi, My little one is 3 months old and I'm wondering where do you find the energy/time to exercise. I"m a single mother and I get up at 5:30am every morning just to be to work by 8:30am. Getting home tends to happen around 7:30pm.. and by the time I get her to sleep at 9:00pm , I"ve still got to get everything together for the next day.
Before pregnancy I was 125lbs. I'm 5'4. My delivery weight was 210 lbs. The last time I weighed myself I was 185 lbs. I haven't step on the scale since and that was probably September.
I do have a tread mill and I was doing it.. but then she got her two month shots and that messed up her sleeping schedule. After that, I haven't been back on it since. I"m just so tired and come the weekends that's the time I have to actually spend with her. When she's sleeping I'm rushing around mad trying to clean the apartment.
When do you find the time to exercise?? and what do you do with your little while exercising?? I just can't exercise at midnight, ( that's the time I usually get to go to sleep) when I have to get up by 5:30am.
thanks. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Welcome Trinity I have an 18 month old and I'm still trying to get back to my prepregnancy weight. I don't know what diet you are on or what your workout is but here is mine. I'm still nursing my daughter so I can't go too low on calories or carbs.
As of Nov 1st. this is what I do.
I have between 1300-1700 calories per day.
I have about 50-60 carbs per day.
My workout consists 45min - 1hr of cardio, with my heart rate around 155 bpm, atleast once a day but mostly a.m. and p.m. because I'm in a challenge on the newbie forum on the blue team.
If you have any info or questions for me look for me there.
Don't forget that you deserve to be at your goal weight. Think positive.

Rep Power: 0 | | | Hi Thoughts I hear you-- I feel tired too-my daughter still nurses in the middle of the night so I don't get a lot of sleep. Having a 3 month old is a lot of work. I can see why you feel exhausted. You have it harder than I do. I don't have to work outside the home anymore. Is it possible to get atleast 1 half day a week?
Please take what is useful and disregard anything from my story below:
When I first had my daughter I used to try to do the same things as I did before I had her but I realized that it was just too hard to do everything myself. I decided what was really important or neccessary would get done. It was okay that the house wasn't perfect and that all the errands didn't get done exactly at the time I would have like them to. The most important thing was that I was sane enough and healthy enough to give my daughter what she needed and when she needed it. I realized that my life had changed and that my priorities had to too.
I started asking others for help like with the errands.(people like to help when there is a new baby around-let them hold the baby or put up a list of things you need done-let them pick)
I traded my "me" shopping for a biweekly cleaning lady (eventhough I'm at home I still work: laundry, bills, groceries, seeing to my child's every need, etc.)A major cleaning every to weeks helps a lot.
I ask family or friends to babysit so I can get some "me" time. This is what keeps me sane.(I almost forgot how to have adult conversations, being with a baby all day will do that).
Your child deserves a healthy mom.

Rep Power: 0 | | | new mommy here... I'm a fairly new mommy, my son is 9 months old. I gained 60 pounds *gasp* but I have lost 20 so far. Im working to get the rest off.. I have a weight loss goal of 45 pounds, so I can get to 135. So far I have avoided counting calories (as I follow the LA weight loss diet and they dont count calories) but I have been avoiding sweets and fats.. and stuffing myself full of good foods.. fresh fruits and veggies.. white meats.. list goes on. Its working fairly well, im down 2 sizes!!
I havent exercised at all though... its terrible.. but its so cold and I dont want to take my son out in it. (excuse.) we bought a bike cart so I can pull him behind my bike, and I'm looking for elipticals online. I think the only thing thats been keeping me on track is taking things one day at a time and trying to keep busy and keep moving! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | hey. new here. i just gave birth 5 weeks ago. it's my third. i am going to get rid of the weight i have slowly accumulated over the course of the last six years. i am feeling discouraged, but am determined to get this done! I started at 125 lbs. and am at 185 right now. I am small-framed and am 5'7" tall. People are telling me that my goal is unrealistic, but i am afraid of not doing the absolute best i can do. you know? if any of you think a 70 lb. weight loss is unrealistic, let me know. I am a breastfeeding mother and my body is holding onto the weight for dear life.
Thanx.

Rep Power: 20 | | Is your goal 125 or 115? If you weigh 185, then 70lbs is 115. That may be a tad unrealistic. I think 125 is a great goal. Infact, that's mine But I'm 5'6". i'm nursing too, she's 2 1/2 months old.
