Healthy foods for the little ones!

Hi! My son just turned 1 recently and has been eating regular foods and I was wondering what healthy and fun foods you have found for your little ones. It's a whole new world of eating for him so I want him to start off on the right foot.

One of our favorites that we have found recently is called Monkey Brains oatmeal. It comes in flavors like strawberry and blueberry and he really likes it. He also likes non sweetened decaf tea instead of fruit juice.

Yummy Healthy Foods

My son is 20 months - when he was one he had few teeth so foods had to be soft. He loves mashed avocado, beans, potatoes, carrots, bananas, yogurt, oatmeal, and scrambled eggs. His favorite fruit now is kiwi and he repeatedly asks for tomatoes!

Hope this gives you some ideas.

My son is 13 months and i give him most of what we eat. He loves sweet potatoes, grapes (cut in halves), watermelon, cantalope, honeydew, crackers, if he eats meat we cut it in small pieces and he loves it. Rice, potatoes, toast. The graduates food at the store are actually really good... he used to eat the fruit puffs but lost interest. but i find he loves the meat sticks, they are really soft and easy to chew. also cereal like chex mix and i find he also loves cheese..hope that gave you a few ideas.

Guacamole

Mash some avocados with some lime juice (prevents browning) and bit of garlic.. use a fork to keep it chunky - and add in some salsa if you want some extra kick... serve on baked tortilla chips, it's even good on burgers - i wouldnt reccommend the side order of margaritas for a toddler but eh - ya never know.
