Hi there. I did not have my children that closely together but I do believe with good planning and some magic mommy motivation you can do it. God, where on earth do we get the
energy from hey?
Do you have a pram that carries both of your children and an appropriate place where you can begin walking, jogging and increase to running each day?
After I had the second I put the baby in the pram and taught my son how to ride without training wheels along side me (he eventually for faster and so did I, great learning together). I did this 5 days a week.
Then I borrowed all sorts of dvds from the dvd store to find out which types of
exercises I was most interested in that I could do at home (I prefer a
gym, but this worked better with my breast feeding or if the baby woke up).
When you work out which ones you like, buy them and write up a plan for the week that includes them. I used
yoga,
pilates, some fit balls and
weights dvds, bellydancing and other dance workouts. I did this at least 3 days a week.
For weight training, my husband trained me, but you could do simple
exercises with hand free
weights and look up
exercises on youtube or rent dvds to guide you. I did this about 3 times a week, depends on other exercise.
For meals, I wrote and still write a meal plan each week that caters for all the different appetites in our house. I pre-make snacks, lots of homemade soup that I eat unlimited quantities of when hungry, freeze healthy left overs and meals so when the rest of the family want take away for a treat I don't have to.
I drink water, herbal tea, green tea and only juice I make myself.
If you can organize yourself you can do this. I hope some of this helps. Good luck. It would be very challenging with two young babies.
