Let's build our strengths

Hi Tammy,

I feel so frustrated when I see so many people nailing this, and I am not talking about people who had to lose 10 pounds, we have seen people who lost 200Lbs, now they are in great shape, and I mean great, with muscles, even 6 pack; but I bet that it didn't happen in their first attempt.

So, I think, first, we have to really put our minds into this big challenge and the goal we want to achieve, build up our willpower and motivation everyday.... so let's get ready for that and have very small steps every day like drinking more pure water? or maybe exercising 10min today.

There are many things we can't control in life like for example having a very bad disease but watching what we put in our mouths, I think that is something we can do; we can't be beaten by a cookie right?

So let's make just one challenge today, if you want, 2, but let's just think only about today.
I read from these people from The Biggest Losers, that they alternate their calorie intake, for ex. they eat 2 days a menu of 1200cal and the third is 1500cal, that would be great so just on the 3rd day when we feel a little weak trying to cheat, we can have 300cal more, how is that?

I am going to post the "Negative Calorie Food List" so we can have a list of "all you can eat"

Tammy, this is tough, but we have seen people doing this and making their dreams come true, why not us?

Let's get this started and remember:

" Every Day is a new beginning "

Hang in there...

charito.

Your children should be all the motivation you need to lose weight. They need a mom who is healthy and alive. My mother is 59 and weighs 400+lbs (and she is only 5'3"), is on oxygen 24/7 and has all kinds of health issues. Anytime she leaves the house it is a major undertaking. I am due to give birth to her first grandchild in few months, and I know she will not be able to fully enjoy being a grandma b/c she is so limited in what she can do. Her inability to control her eating and lack of exercise over the years has caused her to miss out on so much. It's also caused me a lot of stress and anger b/c she cannot do so many of the things that mothers and daughters do together at this time. I really hope you can turn your life around so you don't end up like my mom--your children will thank you for it.

If you haven't already, read some of the stickies in the getting started areas. They are very informative and helpful.

Best wishes!

I know it's easy to say and hart to do, but try to get in shape because of you.
Do things that make you feel good. Wake up one hour earlier and use this hour just for you - yoga, pilates, jogging, whatever you want.
Change your routine and you will succeed.

Hello there and welcome! Food can be an addictive thing just like any other drug. But just like any other illness, sometimes we need help from a higher power or even professionals. Just know that it is possible to turn your life around and although things may seem hopeless at times, it takes strength and determination to change. Good luck and we are here for support!

tammy, i would like to clear your misconception...who said when you have to lose weight, you have to stop eating. no body will tell you to stop eating, just a little controlled diet, when i say controlled diet i dont essentially mean that you eat less, i feel there should be less intake of fatty stuff, controlled intake of calories etc...
