Rep Power: 0 | | | loose skin after pregnancy My daughter was born almost 5 years ago via emergency c-section. I was 120 when I got pregnant and then gained 54 lbs, my daughter was 8lbs 11 ounces. I am currently 135, and have been working out for a year now, I work out 5 days a week, primarily weight training but 3 to 4 days of cardio (treadmill or the bike) when I can find the time. I have yet to lose the loose skin of having a baby! it can be very frustrating but I don't want to resort to surgery yet, as I watched a show where a woman had one done and almost fainted....they literally stich your stomach muscles into a girdle. If anyone knows any helpful tips to reduce this problem area it would be greatly appreciated. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Giving birth often results in body changes that may adversely affect a woman's body image. Thus it's important for women to know what changes have occurred, which ones they can affect by their own efforts |

Rep Power: 6 | | Running.... I swear by it. My son is 1.5yrs old now and my stomach is almost right at what it was before I got pregnant. I still have the small little flap of skin around the C-Section inscision but as far as loose skin it's almost gone.
The reason I attribute it to running is because when I started my weight loss journey I was running like crazy! My stomach shrank a LOT! Then once I lost a good chunk of weight [I was also doing Turbo Jam too]. I started P90X... I didn't really lose any weight. I lost inches more then anything... I finished P90X and started my running again and my stomach tightened even more! |

I'm a mum of 3 healthy boys. I have experienced a lot of softness in the appearance of my body and especially around my tummy area..the classic muffin top look.. I was very unhappy about my appearance and have found a solution and is truly delighted to share it with you.. no cosmetic surgery involved, just a healthy eating plan, combination of exercise and great ongoing support. I've looked at many different ways of loosing weight and have tried various diets in the past, none of which worked in the long term and none gave me the results that I was looking for. This programme does work. I am thrilled to bits! |

Rep Power: 87 | | so this 'solution' you found was a combination of healthy eating and exercise along with support? Thats great to hear! Most people think you have to start some fancy program or pill. But good old fashioned "eat less move more" wins again
You seem a little quiet about your 'solution' as to what it entails. If you have anything to share, please do so publicly. Those " pm me for info" suggestions are considered spam...if thats where your headed.
btw, we do have to delete multiple posts..not sure why you post the same thread three times, but we'll leave this one up, that way its less confusing for everyone

Rep Power: 0 | | I have 2 kids.. 3 1/2 and 1 1/5.. Earlier this year I was 160 lbs and I've lost 30 lbs from begining of spring to end of summer and I did it by going for walks with my kids in their wagon. It started off as slow walks but then got up to power walking and for about 30 minutes. I also started TurboJam and thats what really helped me lose the extra weight! If you do the Ab exercises along with the cardio you will see great results I promise. and I'm not trying to sell anything, I dont work for the company at all.. I just had awesome results with Turbojam. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Have you tried Body Magic? I am a mother of 5 boys (including a set of twins). My pregnancy with my twins totally stretched my stomach out of shape as they were carried full term (one twin was 7lbs and the other was 6lbs 10 oz). Needless to say, I was left with a lot of excess belly skin - the infamous 'Mother's Apron' and this really affected my self esteem. Like many of you, I had seriously been thinking about having plastic surgery to correct the problem. However, I was recently introduced to a phenomenal product called Body Magic. It is a reshaping garment that was designed by an orthapedic surgeon and an engineer. Let me tell you - this garment does wonders! It is plastic surgery in a bag without the costs or risks associated with surgery. It lifts the breasts, cinches the waistline, flattens the belly, shapes the buttocks, slims saddlebags, and provides great back support. What's more is that it is actually pretty comfortable to wear. With consistent use of the Body Magic garment, many women have seen permanent reshaping in their body. I have only been wearing mine for about 3 weeks and I can already see a noticeble improvement in the shape of my waistline. Best of all, I feel like a million dollars in my clothing and my self confidence is back. You can find out more about the garment at The Figure 8 Body - Body Magic by Ardyss . | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
