Still pregnant but wanting to prepare for weightloss

Hi, I didn't even bother introducing myself in the new members section because right now I am 6 months pregnant. I'm not so much worried about the weight I've gained with this pregnancy as I am worried about the weight I gained prior to it. This is my third child and I never lost the weight with the other two and that's what has me scared.

When I got married I wore a size 5 pants and weighted 120lbs. I got pregnant and gained 20lbs fast only to miscarry. A year later and still 20lbs heavier I got pregnant again. At 9 months I was 170lbs. After delivery I hadn't lost any weight and somehow never did. 3 years later I was pregnant again and luckily lost weight during the pregnancy. I ended up 5lbs lighter at the end of that one at 165lbs. I was able to lose quite a bit of weight for a while but I then became a stay at home mom and it all came back. Now with this pregnancy I started at 170lbs and weighed myself today and I am at 190! I still have 3 months to go and the end months are when I tend to start gaining the most. I'm very scared! If history repeats itself I could very easily be stuck at 200+ lbs after having this baby.

So needless to say I am trying to prepare myself now for the work that it is going to take after my baby arrives. I will be breastfeeding and this time I won't have to stop early to return to work so I'm really hoping this will help with some of the weight.

I guess right now I'm just wondering if any of you did anything to help during your pregnancy? I can't workout because I have placenta previa, have been having contractions since 3mths pregnant and run a high risk of premature labor so my doctor has already told me that I need to take it easy. But I'm will to try a pregnancy workout that is low impact and not too strenuous if anyone has a good recommendation.

Alright, sorry to ramble on for so long!

Teresa

Well, I weighed 180 at the beginning of this pregnancy. I had gallbladder problems and had to be on a diet throughout my pregnancy under 20 grams of fat a day) I weighed 180 the day I delivered and 2 weeks later I was down to 150 lbs. Now my baby is almost 5 months old and I'm down to 137 lbs just by cutting calories and breastfeeding. (BTW, my baby was 3 weeks early and was completely healthy at 7 lb 5 oz. even though I was on a low fat diet.) I think that during my next pregnancy I am really going to watch my fat intake so I don't gain anything but baby (and fluid etc. whatever comes with her) lol. I suggest just good old calorie cutting that's what works for me (so far! lol)
