Cool ello all

ello all, i'm soon to be 21 and am trying to lose around 40 pounds. i've been trying but can't seem to keep focused. i currently weigh around 170, i'm 5' 7". i decided to try this, to help me lose weight. i admit i'm not happy with myself. i need to change, not only my wieght but many other things as well. it's hard to tell you all about me because i'm not so sure, i'm a whole lot of very different things and because of reasons the people i want close i push away. i think if i change this one thing it'll help me to change the others too. i need inspiration and motivation and an ear if willing. i like to meet ppl so don't be shy. I'm currently in Kuwait and everyone that i work/ed with think i'm crazy.....in a good way or so they say..lol. i have a great sense of humor. i think. if i can make myself laugh i must be funny...right? J/K the guys here think i'm funny, so it's gotta be true. or to an extent. well any help would be awesome! thanks all

Hey I'm 5'7 myself and I have around the same amount of weight to lose (although I started out needing to lose a lot more heh). Anyways, my goal is 135 and then I'll see if I need to lose an additional few pounds. My sisters are all my height and they vary from 120-135. The one that's 120 looks awesome, she has hips and she doesn't look too thin either. So, once I get down to 135, then I'll see if I have the body type and whatnot to go further.

Anyways, I wish you luck on your weight loss goals. Anything is possible if you put your mind and effort into it! Many people will say that starting a diary on here is very helpful. Also keeping track of your calories is very good to do as well. It really opens your eyes on your eating habits! A good website for this is: FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal Good luck!

also a newbie...

Hi, I am 5-9, 195 so I need to lose about the same amount of weight. If you would like to keep in touch so we can encourage one another that would be awesome. I battle with overeating and binging a lot. Luckily I am a guy and can do a lot of strength training but my eating habits are killing me.

Hey bw82, I know how it is, I was a chronic overeater and binger. Now I'm in more control of what I eat and how much, in part, because I keep track of all the calories. It's hard, but I've been able to do it so far. This is the website I use: FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal It's very easy to use, you just add the foods you eat and counts the cal's for you. Plus you can keep track of your fitness, goals, etc.

I would love to keep in touch, the more people for support, the better! I have a diary on here if you'd like to pop on by. You should start one up as well, it helps keep track of how you're doing and keeps you acountable!

Good luck on your weight loss as well!

New and need help

Wow, I just found this site and am hopeful that I will find the help and inspiration that I need. I am 5'6" and 189 lbs. My goal is 135 lbs, so I have a ways to go. Right now, I am trying to get a grip on my eating habits. I walk for 30 minutes a day on my treadmill. I think my biggest problem is sugar. I get really bad cravings for sweet stuff. Any ideas on how to handle this?

I'm also trying to figure out this site. How do I start a journal?

Tulip
