Unhappy Is it enough?* Please help...

Hey x

Currently im running everyday on the treadmill on 9 for 10mins then walking on 6.5 for 5mins. I want to lose 1 1/2 stone..is this going to be possible or do i need to do more excercise. I also walk the dog about 1-2 miles everyday.

I weigh just under 11stone and i want to be 9 1/2 stone. Anybody have any tips that could help me. My problem areas are my stomach, hips, bum and thighs.

Thank you xxxxxx

It's so much more about nutrition than about exercise. Tell us what you're eating.

Diet is 80% of the battle

You can over exercise till you are blue in the face every day and not lose any weight if you are not eating properly. I know, I did it for years. Exercising 2 hours a day caused me to increase my strength and endurance, but the high fat and calorie foods with no concept of portion control not just maintained the girth, but increased it. The most important thing I have learned about successfully losing weight is to get the eating in check first, then the exercise is an excellent compliment to it. I am shocked now to think of how many calories a day I used to consume, "thinking" I was eating healthy.... Thank you FitDay.com!!!!

It would be nice to be able to eat whatever we wanted and just work the extra calories off on the treadmill, but for most it simply doesn't work like that.

Maybe give us an idea of your nutrition plan and we can offer some more helpful adivce. I know dramatically revising the way I eat has made all the difference. Took me a long time of researching and lurking here to figure it out, but I have experienced the results and know now its really true.
