trying to fit into my old clothes

so i'm a young women in college right now and i am 180 pounds and 5'3 (god im fat). For the longest time i was 110 pounds until this december, since then i ahve been gaining 10 pounds a month. It was just a short period of over eating from thanks giving until new years, you know i put on soem pounds who cares i lose it right after. Until then i had just been eating whatever i want and not really caring so much, i ate until iwas full. then when the holidays came aroudn it was fattening foods and eating them untill i couldnt move! lol! Anyway i got a potbelly at the end of december but i gave it slap and vowed to lose it, i got it ina month i could lose it in two. But after this my appetite was bigger for some reason, i was allways hungry, i though back before the gain i could eat when i was hungry and i stayed at 110 but now it took mroe food to stop me from being hungry and right after a meal i would hungry in another hour. i got bigger and bigger and bigger. I am very insecure, every body can notice becasue its been happening so fast and by the end of the month i am bursting out of my clothes that i bough at the beggining of the month. i have tried to cut down but its so hard andi just give up before i start a diet. I really thinsk its weir and id ont understand why i gained adn i gained so fast but now im setting goals to lose weight. I ahve allreayd lost 5 pounds in the last three weeks

first off, your metabolism is starting to slow down. to keep the metabolism going at the same rate as it was in high school, you need to do about 2 days of cardio / week. You should start a diary and read some of the other peoples diary. you will find some good tips on how to control the eating habits and possibly find motivation too.
Also, drink lots of water. Sometimes hunger is confused with thirst and water also helps control hunger in general.
... stress from school, family or that pain-in-the-neck boyfriend can also cause you to eat more.
