Hello everyone, I'm new at this sorta thing, but thought I'd give it a try. My internet experience is basically surfing & e-mail so forgive me if I am a little bit clumsy at it. Forum? Blog? Huh? What? OK maybe I'm not that bad, but not far from it. Anyway, I guess I'll describe a little bit about myself and go from there. I'm 34 years old, and at around Christmas time I weighed 330 lbs.. I decided something needed to be done. Not only could I not do the things I loved anymore, I could do hardly anything at all. When I was younger I was somewhat of an athlete, but that was such a distant memory, it almost didn't seem like memories of myself anymore. So, I sat down and figured out what I was doing wrong in my life and decided to correct them. As of today I have lost 100 lbs.. I know that is fairly rapid to lose weight, and as unhealthy as I was before I did not want to lose weight unhealthily(is that a word?), but I wasn't killing myself doing it. I didn't spend all day in the gym, nor did I starve myself. I think my key so far has been persistance. I do hit plateaus and I know the closer I get to my desired weight the harder it will get. So I came to this sight for inspiration when needed, and hopefully provide support when someone else needs it.[/FONT][/FONT]  | |
