Well, I'm here, just like everyone else, because I have a problem. I can't control my impulsive eating. I've always been an active person running cross country since high school. However my weight became a problem, and began straining my knees. While I was training for a half maraphon I injured my knees pretty badly. I spent several months trying resting them up, and trying to heal the tendinitis. During this time I gained 15 pounds, raising myself to forty pounds overweight. This is a problem that I know I must fix before it becomes bigger.

My knees are better now, and I've started running again, however I need to loose weight so it doesn't put extra stress on my weak knees, and so I feel better about myself.

Along with running, I enjoy painting, all forms of art (music, drama, etc.). I'm a social activist and I have a heart for people and a heart for the unseen hurts of Africa.

I hopeing that this community will help provide accountability, inspiration and motivation for me!

Welcome tigerlily, you and I are both on here for the same reasons, though I wish I can say that I am as active as you! Running? Crikey, I huff and puff just 2 minutes in!

Like yourself, I binge eat. Infact, just this evening as I stepped in from work I just ate, ate and ate. yes, they may have been slimming world hi-fi bars, but at 6 sins each and 5 bars later I am sitting here just reflecting on what I have just done and not feeling to happy with myself.

So, have you got any plans on how you're going to lose the weight, or are you more of a free spirit and look to take each day as it comes?

Anyway, we're here to support you should you need to call upon it!

Welcome!!!

My knees were hurting too ..until I started walking everyday ...now they are getting stronger and slimmer. Plus sometimes I bike ride for five to ten miles ...

You run! That is such an accomplishement in my eyes... I am doing sprints, trying to get to jogging someday ...but for the most part I just enjoy walking and looking at the pretty lawns and beautiful wild flowers and greenhouse flowers around the city .... and sometimes I walk into other cities ..

You will definately be able to meet your challenges .. I used to binge, but this place has taught me moderation and portion control ..and what not

You will find true and dear friends here, who are in the same spot you are in..
