New over here!

Hi all. I'm 22 years old, student at the University of Cincinnati, love working on cars, and love working out. My name is Flynn, not Mark as many assume, understandably. I come from World Fitness, where I have been an active member for quite some time. I love it over there, and I figured it would be nice to join here as well.

I was a mess November of last year/ I was in awful shape, never worked out, and had too much extra blubber. I'm 6'4'', so even at 220 lbs, I didn't look too bad, but I was tired of it. So I started lifting and running. At first I wasn't willing to give up a lot of bad foods, but over time I started learning things. First, I learned about compound lifts and the great benefits they offer. It took me awhile to finally get into it 100%. It was about mid January, and I decided I was in control, and I wanted to see if I could undo a lifetime of improper eating. Well, skip forward, I lost 35 pounds, all fat, maintained muscle, even improved on some lifts. I love working out, it is a part of my life. I am not a professional, but I have read hours and hours and hours of information on fitness. I have an ACSM book that I bought and have been reading the material, which is sweet, but intense.

Anyways, sorry for the book, hehe, it's good to be here and I hope to help out wherever I can and learn as much as I can!

I love working out too. Great job on the improving the eating part, something that I definitely need to work on. Any tips on what worked for you to cut out the bad foods?
