I'm an overweight 17 year old. I've been over weight since a young age but last year I lost alot of weight. Then, I put it back on. So now I'm 20 pounds overweight and am looking to lose 34 lbs.

I joined this forum last night looking for helpful suggestions and I got a bunch in one day! You're trying to lose 34 lbs., I'm trying to lose around 25...good luck to you! I'm sure you'll be able to formulate a plan of attack w/ all of the helpful advice available on here and be on your way in no time! Keep us posted w/ your progress!

I know exactly how you feel. I was in an almost identical position in high school. Kids can be very cruel, and I don't know about you, but I was teased enough to make it affect my self-esteem. Now I would kill to weigh what I did in high school..lol. But I'm working on it.

Just keep focused and determined and you will do just fine. Best wishes, and remember--you're worth it.
