Talking Wendy - I'm New!

Hey everyone, I'm new here. I've been coming to this site for 2 wks now, finally joined.

I'm 25 years old, 5'4" and currently weigh 147.2...
I have 2 children, boys, ages 3 years old and 10 wks old. I've been struggling with my weight since the birth of my first child. I went from 107 lbs to 190 two wks before I delivered. From a pre-pregnancy size 2 - 4,
I was stuck in size 16 stretch for 2 years. Finally in April I had enough, and started working out crazily, and unfortunately I stopped eating and would only eat sunflower seeds and water. Horrible, I know, but it worked, and I couldn't stop as I kept watching the numbers go down and my pants literally fall off with every step. I was desesperate! By July I was 135 lbs. In Sept I was 130 because my bf found out what I was doing and freaked out, literally forcing me to eat. So I had started eating again and taking care of myself.

In October I found out I was pregnant again. This time, I watched what I ate, and I still gained a lot. I was at 175 lbs. Since giving birth May 26th, I've been trying to lose weight, I'm not taking any supplements as I'm breastfeeding. But I'm very concious with what I eat. I screwed up July 30th, my bf brought pizza because of it was my birthday and I refused to go out.

I'm so desesperate, but I want to do it right, not only because I'm breastfeeding, but because I need the energy to keep up with my kids and I don't want to kill myself in the process. I'm depressed, and I'm driving everyone around me nuts, all I talk about is weight loss, and I weigh myself about 10 times a day. I'm obssesed, and completely freaking out.

I was stuck at 149 lbs, since July 20th, this mornig I weighed in at 147.2, I go for jogs, and for walks daily, and I do strength training, pilates. Two days ago I did 136 minutes of cardio and 65 minutes of pilates. I follow videos, Billy Blanks 8 minute video I do 4 times in a row.

My Goal / Challenge is to lose 32 lbs by December, I figure it's plenty of time for it. But I'm doing a total body makeover, my weights gotta go down, and my self esteems gotta go up. So far so good.

Thank You! Look forward to hearing from all of you...

You're eating more then sunflower seeds this time around correct? So in one day you did almost 3 hours of exercise? That is insane. 60-90 minutes should be your maximum per day. You continue those workouts and you'll soon find yourself exhausted and upset.

Agreed, it is VERY hard to lose the weight after a pregnancy. It took me about 10 months to lose about 30 pounds and it does suck looking so different than you did before having the babies. You will eventually get the weight off and in the meantime you need to slow down and enjoy life with your babies. Believe me I know how you feel though, I was quite freaked out myself at the changes to my body.

May I say that you might want to try limiting weighing to once a day in the morning with no clothes. Any other weight throughout the day just reflects how much food and water you've consumed or how heavy your clothes are, but definitely has nothing to do with your actual weight.

What are you eating (and how many calories per day)?

Hi,
Thank you for the reply!
Yes, this time I'm eating, I'm breastfeeding so even if I don't want to eat I know I have to, I'm eating lots of fruits and veggies, along with chicken & fish. I'm not too crazy about meat though if my guy cooks it, I might eat some.

My m-i-l had the kids, and it was the first day without either of them, I had so much free time I didn't know what to do with, lol So I started working out, and challenged myself to an hour of jogging and that led to more work out and such, and I was just so energized. I was however sooooo tired the next day,I still worked out though. I work out everyday, if I miss a day, then I get lazy and end up eating stuff I'm not supposed to. I love Oreos and Nutella...

Thank you again, and Ill keep the 60 - 90 min daily work outs in mind, I don't want to be as achy and tired as I was.

Hi!
How are you?
I only take my morning weight serious, I know that after gulping the down a water bottle it goes up a lb, but by leaving my scale infront of the fridge I stay focused. I never imagined having a baby would change my body so drastically.

I'm eating healthy, fruits, veggies, chicken and fish. Staying away from baggles, cookies and chocolate. I'm not sure how many calories are in all the veggies and fruit I eat, but I don't worry about those. I think maybe about 1000 to 1200 calories daily. I doubt it's that much, but just incase. I also snack on raw green beans and whole carrots. Sunflower seeds are just my naughty / boredom snack.

I see you're almost at your goal, so exciting I can't wait. How have you done it? Thanks and have a great day!

Hi and thank you! I had joined a different forum that is a lot like this one. But I'm still shocked I actually got replies here as quickly. I've also seen 2 members from the other place also. I'm very happy I joined here though, I'm really focused on doing this and am just glad to be somewhere where others understand. Ok, enough rambling!

Welcome to you too!!! Talk to you later...
