Rep Power: 0 | | | Hey from Canada!! Hey gang. Ok...so I decided to change my outlook on this weight loss thing. I'm not losing weight, I'm becoming healthy. I already eat healthy. I just need to get movin'. Quick drinking quite as much. And mostly, I need support from a group. I've been dieting since I was 10 (See Scarsdale...and the reason that I still can't eat a grapefruit) and ever since. Now...I'm turing 40 at the end of next month, and I've decided that I'm already hot. But I need to feel better. Live healthier, and if I can turn a few heads and gain a little extra confidence back, while helping others too...why not?
So here's my thing. The only thing that helped me at Weight Watchers, or Tops or anywhere else, was when I came out of the room, and told everyone that I was down 3 pounds and everyone went "Good for you" and lit up like Christmas trees!! I already know how to eat and exercise. It's the support that I value the most.
I'm funny. Love people. ANd I've been told that I have an ability to make people feel better about themselves. I did it in my salon for 20 years. So...I'm putting myself out there. Posting pics...and hoping that everyone will give me a hand...and I will help you in return.
I'm 170 lbs this morning. I'd love to get down about 35 lbs. No time limit. Just becoming more healthy and beautiful along the way. In the age of digital pics...I figure that it can't be hard to post pics as the progression continues!!
Let me know if you need help...and what you think!!
Take care all...and love yourselves for me today!! |

Rep Power: 0 | | Hey Fellow Canadian Hi, congrats on your healthy attitude. That's the best foundation you can start with. Your post shows that you are a very positive person and you sound like you are well on your way to starting a wonderful new lifestyle.
I'm a few years older than you (see my introductory post on weight gain and menopause), and I did just what you're doing in my late 30s and early 40s and it paid off. I have gained some weight back-- god help us women and hormones, eh? I'm not chunky, I tend to carry it all over but I feel like a linebacker, compared to the way I was.
Anyway, I've lost some of those good habits and I'd like to get them back. I've never done the group thing for weight loss, but I could sure use the moral support and I'm willing to give it as well.
Good luck to you! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Hi precious And I believe that you truely are!! I'm afraid that my first week hasn't gone as well as I had hoped. I never checked into the site at all. It's easier to just ignore it. I'm really hoping that the support on here will help me. And hopefully we can help each other.
Take good care and have an amazing week.

Rep Power: 0 | | Your Dose of Moral Support Hi, Angelcuts6, this forum seems so popular; threads keeping being added and I find I have to do a search on my own username just to remember where I've been.
So, how's that lifestyle coming along? If you've been busy all week, that's good! If you're busy, you're happy and you're not stress eating.
I heard on the radio today that some authoritative study has determined conclusively that chocolate is indeed addictive.
Like, duh????
So I have sworn off. I hate to use a cliche but I tend to be compulsive about things. I wish I could get compulsive again about a healthy lifestyle. I'm fine until about 3:00 p.m. and then all of a sudden, I start eating junk. God knows why...
Keep strong, keep positive-- and keep in touch!
P.S. How's the weather out where you are? We're at 29 and humid. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
