Hey everyone! My name is Marshal and I am from Vermont. I'm currently in College and am majoring in Psychology .
The reason I am here is because since about the 7th grade I have been overweight, and slowly gaining more and more. I never really saw my weight as a problem until about two years ago. I'm currently 260lbs and 5'10". My friends have been telling me I am alright on weight (Mainly because I physically look like I am only 200lbs) but I know inside that it's a problem. I'm supposed to be at the peak of my physical fitness, yet I get winded walking up a few flights of stairs.
My goal right now is to lose about 90-100lbs. It's a lot of weight to lose, but I really want to commit myself to losing that. I know that if I just "test" out dieting, I will abandon it like all the other times.
I joined these forums, to support other people and be supported. I think the best way to get something like this done is to work with other people . I'm very glad to be here, and can already see a bit of hope from just browsing these forums.
all the best same here. I'm getting more and more unfit. I need to stop it before I go to college. yeah and I totally understand the people-telling-you-you-look-alright thing, but you know its not.
Hi Marshall. I know what you mean! I am going to lose some weight for sure this semester. One of my classes is on the third floor, and the parking lot is always sooo full so I have to park on the other side of the campus. I'm pretty good at hiding my "catching my breath" by the time I get to the third floor, but I sit and think that I should not feel like this. I see some younger and thinner people, and they just have a bounce in their walk. I want that "bounce" back! Good luck on your journey!
