Hey all. Just found the site an hour ago or so, and decided to make an account and hope to get some help . Let me tell you a little about my self.

I am 15, 5'9 and 195 pounds. Some might say "You are still growing, don't worry about your weight you'll lose it" But the point is, I want to lose it now. I am very active, since me and my friends all love to play any type of sports, but it just seems as I lose no weight. I try and watch what I eat, I try to work out, but if I weight myself at the end of all my hard work, the scale doesn't move! I get frustrated easily, and then I just stop on all my hard work. It is also tough to see that my whole family is dieting, and my brother lost close to 20 pounds in a month, my dad lost about 10 pounds, my mom about 10 and my sister 15, and yet I am gaining weight.

In my mind i think, 'alright, let me lose the weight in be in amazing shape', but yet, if I have the choice to watch TV or go run for 10 minutes, I choose the TV and eat along with it.

I joined this site, along with getting advice on the best weight loss methods, for motivation to keep striving to lose the weight. By Christmas, I would like to be 170. 25 pounds in 3 months. I think that is achievable.

hey there hon... that is a great goal to have, and I KNOW that you can achieve it... I'm glad that you are here, and also that you have family who is going through the same thing that you are... it is always great to have support...

your name is too much soda... are you needing to cut some of that out? water has definately been one of the keys to my diet - without it, I don't know where I would be at today... oh wait, yes I do.. back at the weight I was when I started. See if you can drink some water each day instead of pop.

i'm glad that you are here and working hard to meet your goals... good luck!!!

Toomuchsoda - that sounds like me. I love Coca Cola. I haven't had it in a couple of weeks, but I used to drink several a day. I still allow myself one once in a while. Did you ever hear that one 12 oz can of Coke (or similar soda) per day will put on 15 lbs per year !?!?? Well, the sodas you get out to eat are usually 16 or 20 oz or even more, and with refills.... That's a killer.

Good luck on your goals. I find that I stay on track better when I visit this site frequently. People are encouraging here.

I know what it is like to be 15 and weighing more than everyone else. And it is wonderful that you are trying to get your weight down now because the older you get the harder it becomes to lose it!!1
We are here for you.
