i used to think CA was expensive until i moved to boston. My apt is a small 1 bedroom. I pay 1095 for my apt plus 120 a month for my parking space. but this is cheap. the first apt we had here was even smaller and was 1500 no parking space.
In Sacramento we had a 2 bedroom 2 bath for 750. and it was a really cool apt. W/ CA, it such a big state. some places are very expensive and some are fairly cheap. My boyfreind is from Georgia and he says it is very cheap. He had a large house for 300 a month, now that's cheap!
I use to live in Sonora...around San Angelo.....And I visted an aunt who live in Del Rio.....we went to mexico one time.....I remember it was very frightning to me...but I got a lot of jewlery and my brother got a straw sombrero...lol.....we were kids...lol
I was born in Germany (dad was in the US. Military and was stationed there) and then we moved to California, and then to Virginia, and then here to texas...were we've remained for ten years. I miss moving.
I used to live in SanDiego for 23 years and I loved it, it was expensive but I loved it. Mexico is kinda scary we went there all the time as I lived about 20 minutes from the border and when I was young you could drink there when you were 18 so I went there alot. We never drove over there though we always took the trolley.
My parents live in Corpus Christi Texas.....and they have a 4 bedroom 2 bath house....nice yard...great neighborhood and their morgage is 800.........I knew back east was real expensive to live.....The city I live in is very clean and pretty safe so I guess that maybe why.......I wanted to live in Santa Monica but a studio is the same amount if not more in rent......My fiance wanted our own bedroom ....and a spare/ computer room.....but no one visits us anyways....so I wouldnt have cared if we got a one room apt....I wanted to be close to the beach....
I think California is a beautiful place with soooo much to do but I think THEY have crazy drivers..lol...the traffic is out of this world......
I was in LA back in May. Well, actually, Hollywood and I LOVED IT!!!! I didn't want to go home. My Mom and I went for 4 days and we stayed at the Renissance Hollywood Hotel. I agree, the traffic is out of this world but I was so excited just to be there that I didn't care! I will say that people in LA get very good use out of their car horns. I couldn't believe how many people blew their horns at other drivers! I want to go back one day soon. I think LA and Las Vegas are my two most favorite places in the world (well, right now... haven't been too many other places yet). Okay, now you have me wanting to take a trip!!
The San Diego zoo is by far the best zoo I have ever went to. If you are going to go you should definently plan on making it a whole day thing, there is sooooo much to see. We went to the zoo out here in Missouri and I was so dissapointed it took us about an hour to see everything. The only good part was feeding the giraffes.
Wow!!! KC-that is absolutley crazy!!!! is schooling free in CA though? Still that is just sooo high! I can't imagine that!
It sounds like everyone has had their share of paying a huge amoutn of rent! haha*
Georgia is cheap? well hmm something to look into I have a one bedroom apartment right now that i pay 360 + utilities .. not terrible!! But for up here it ispretty expensive.
Southern states have been more reasonable in pricing i've noticed ... anyone absolutley just LOVEEEEE where they live? I need to start somewhere and right now i'm just kinda going anywhere that looks appealing! I just need some sunshine, not too expensive, schools for radiogrphy, good job outlook ... fun!!
This is so cool that we are literally from all over the world!!! I would lOVE if that talk show deal worked out someday - this is really amazing!! I feel so close to all of you already! we're like a little fam

I'm from St. Louis, lived in NY city the last two years and recently moved back to St. Louis...and might be moving back to Manhattan next year...hmmm...seems like I can't make up my mind right? I love ny and I love the countryside so I always feel torn between the two places. But I'm single...and NY city has better looking men and better jobs and...ugh...two much to think about
...Yes it is....it blew my mind how much it is out here.....My fiance and I live in a 2 bedroom 1 bath apt......we have no pool, no apt gym..and there are only two washer/ dryers for a 10 apt complex.....and we pay $950.00 a month....and that is on the cheap side!!!!
My brother and his wife in Louisianna lived in a two bedroom/ two bath apartment with washer and dryer in apt.. fireplace, they had a nice gym.. 2 pools. hot tub...tennis courts..walking track....club house..gated...the works...and they only payed 1000.00 a month......this is when I start to miss my southern states....
$950? whoa, thats about what we pay for our mortgage each month!
