Hey! I just realized that I don't know know where anyone is from .. besides a few of you! It's awesome how we are from all over the world & all meet up here =)
I am from Michigan ---> in the Upper Penninsula (way up north) =)
I am from Texas, transplanted to southern California for a year, moving back to Austin, Texas on Halloween.
I'm looking forward to moving because I'll be moving back in with my boyfriend. I'm hoping to lose weight by the time Oct 31 rolls around so that I can impress him. He likes me just how I am but I want to feel good in myself. Besides, I need to develop healthy habits now to continue when I move back home.
I am from EVERYWHERE!!!...lol......Mainly from Texas....and Louisiana....spent the longest years there....but I have lived in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Norway, And now California...( Los Angeles area)....I have been here only 5 months....
Kccruz, you're from Texas and Louisiana, moved to CA, like I did. Now I've been here a year and moving back home! Thought I'd drop a fellow Texan a line. I'm dorky like that
Well, I was born in Pennsylvania... lived there until I was 10 then moved to Alabama. I have lived in several cities in Alabama... Rainsville, Eldridge, Hamilton, Talladega, Pell City, Rainsville AGAIN and now I am in south Alabama... approx 10 miles from the Florida border. I moved to where I am now to be with my husband (we met online on AOL) almost 7 years ago.
Obviously I'm from Texas. Born and raised in North Texas, then moved to San Antonio. I now live just southeast of San Antonio. I can't imagine ever living anyplace else. I've traveled around with my hubby and seen lot's of places I'd like to visit, take a vacation, but I will always come right back home to Texas!!
I am from Sacramento, California I lived in the central valley my whole life. I just moved to boston, MA ( i still cant spell it) 2 years ago because my boyfriend got a great offer to get his doctoral degree at Harvard. I can't wait to move back to California. I personally think that CA has the best of everything, I may be a little biased though. I don't really like Boston, it is too cold in the winter, rains a lot, most people have bad personallities( like they think they are the only one that matters on this planet) and everyone drives like maniacs. But I have been able to see some things i have always wanted to see. Niagra falls, New York City and the Adirondaks ( which i did not know even existed until i moved here but it is my favorite place over here great for hiking and camping)
any way I am glad you started this thread, i have been very curious to know where everyone is from.
romanovictoria....where in Cali do you live now?.....And where in Texas did you exactly live?.....
Hey- Texas.....I know exactly what you are saying.....when ever I come to Texas..I feel sooo different.....I love the smell..the sound..I feel at home and relaxed.....Maybe because most of my memories are from there....
Julieann...- I think California is a beautiful place with soooo much to do but I think THEY have crazy drivers..lol...the traffic is out of this world...(New york is probaly worse I am sure.)....and I have been here only 5 months and have felt 2 earthquakes.......The last one scared me that my eyes got so big they popped out of my head .....The one thing I like about california...is that tornados are very rare....compared to the arkla tex ....
I am in MI right now as I've said before ... but I am looking to move this comming summer to go to radiography school. I've applied at one in Fort Lauderdale, FL and one in South Carolina ... I'm ready for a change - a WARMER change =) Anyone know of any good radiogrpahy programs around them? I was looking in Cali. BUT ... i've heard it's SOOO expensive to live there??
...Yes it is....it blew my mind how much it is out here.....My fiance and I live in a 2 bedroom 1 bath apt......we have no pool, no apt gym..and there are only two washer/ dryers for a 10 apt complex.....and we pay $950.00 a month....and that is on the cheap side!!!!
My brother and his wife in Louisianna lived in a two bedroom/ two bath apartment with washer and dryer in apt.. fireplace, they had a nice gym.. 2 pools. hot tub...tennis courts..walking track....club house..gated...the works...and they only payed 1000.00 a month......this is when I start to miss my southern states....
I'm in orange county now and was in Laredo, TX before as well as San antonio. Laredo is on the border of Mexico...walk down the street, you're at the border...kinda : )
