Smile Hello I am a newbie

Well I would like to introduce myself. My name is Shey and I am 23 years old and I am currentlygoing to university. I begain my weight loss efforts about 2 and a half weeks ago and have lost 6 pounds already. I am currently 269 pounds and I have a goal weight of 150. I have been exercising on an elliptical trainer for 35 minutes a day with a 5 minute cool down. I don't have any real eating plan set up but I have cut out fried foods, pepsi and junk food from my diet. I usually eat boiled vegtables, grilled chicken, whole wheat pasta and alot of fruits and vegtables. I have been trying really hard to change my eating habits because I was addicted to pepsi and it will be two weeks on saturday since I have had some. I was also addicted to deep fried potatos. I have also been very consistent in going to the gym since my university offers students free use of a weight/fitness room. I am really motivated this time and all the other times I have tried to lose weight I have never lasted this long. So I am here I wish everyone good luck!!
thanks
Shey

Hi Shey! Welcome!

It sounds like you are doing everything right so far. Bravo on you for giving up the Soda, totally wasted calories and lots of them. All of your other food changes are good too, but most people don't understand that that liter of soda can have 500 calories in it!!

Start up a diary in the diary section and keep it daily, it really does help!
