Rep Power: 0 | | Super Motivated Newcomer Hi everyone!
I just found this site today. I am really motivated to lose the extra weight that I have carried for almost my entire life. I keep telling myself that this time I can do it and any support helps. I am 28 years old and have yo-yoed my way up and down and back up again and again.
I would really like to lose 60 pound and, most importantly, keep it off! |

Rep Power: 8 | | yes, you can do it. Take a look at some of the "before" and "after" pix on here... unlike the weight loss ads in magazines (which are hard to believe), these are all real people who have worked hard, over many months, to lose. No quick fix, but the end result of a lot of discipline and dedication to the goal. Lots of inspiration here, and a lot of friendly people.

welcome to the Forum!
I was loosing 20 pound in only 3 months, with an alkaline diet (weight anagement through pH balance and alkaline food).
It was and still is great!
Feel free to contact me...
Take care,

Wow, has there been a media blitz on diet pills and alkaline diets as of late? There seems to be so many new members starting up these things.
You do realize that alkaline doesn't make you lose weight, calories do. Right?
If you find you like the alkaline diet, by all means, stick with it. But there is certainly nothing magical about it. If I had my pick actually, I would avoid it personally. |

I love your signature, it's so funny Well I've every faith that you will lose the weight you want to lose. Some tips I've found helpful are to eat 3 meals a day to keep your metabolism steady, to put in a bit of low impact exercise every day (like walking) and transitioning to foods that make you feel fuller faster, like whole wheat breads and pastas.
Best of luck on your weight loss |

An interesting fact-- I live in Saint John, NB, and a lot of movies are filmed here because our downtown area apparently resembles Boston (which is where I am assuming you are from!) I've never seen Boston for myself, but it's on my to-do list!
It's great that you're motivated, because that's definitely more powerful than any sort of fad diet or pill. Welcome to the forum, and good luck! | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
