Mr Slimmer

Hi

I wanted to just post something to introduce myself. I joined this evening and am a male living in the UK. I have a medical motivation to diet as I have sleep apnoea and even losing a few pounds can help. I am 6 foot 4 inches tall and currently 212 pounds with a BMI of 25.5 - so slightly overweight.

I am around 13-14 pounds lighter than I was 18 months ago but my dieting has stalled and I have gained a few pounds lately. I want to get back on the wagon. I would like to lose another 15 pounds and as I write this I realise that will be quite a challenge, especially in winter.

I have not yet studied this site much bit am looking for accountability - somewhere I can post my weekly weigh-in. I tried Weight Watchers but found the fact that I was the only guy off-putting.

Heey I'm relatively new too, going for a 10-15lbs loss. Yeeah..thanks for reminding me about winter.. it can get pretty snowy in Canada..and with that whole SAD thing goin on..not a good season for me to decide to lose weight. Oh well. For I must do it, dammit I must! I'm not sure how cold it gets in the UK, is it very? You could start a journal if you wanna post your weigh-ins. I just made one, w00t. Have you just changed your diet to lose weight?

Thanks for the replies.

Shane, the UK winters are long and grey but rarely very cold. However the lack of sunshine and dampness can be a real problem.

Jeremy I'm not sure what you mean. And pics? Are my dimensions so unusual then?
