I'm looking for motivation!

I'm looking for motivation! I have lost 30 pounds and have twenty more to go. I hit a plateau and can't seem to shake out of it! I'm Looking for ideas to kick it back in gear. the scale hasn't moved up or down in a few months! I'm getting worried with the holidays fast approaching! Would appreciate any ideas! Thanks!

Basically to break out of a plateau you have to eat more calories for about two weeks to reset your metabolism then you can cut calories again and break through your plateau.

Read around the forum to find out what number is right for you to go to for those two weeks.

Wow 30 pounds. That is so great. I wish I would have been that successful already. How much time did you need to lose so much weight? Anyways I can imagine that it is frustrating if the scale is not movng up or down anymore. But I think this is quite normal. Just stick to your diet and I am sure it will move down again soon. Just don't give up hope!

Try switching exercises. When you use different muscle groups by doing different exercises, sometimes that's enough of a change to get you to lose more weight I think they call it "crosstraining."

Send a message via ICQ to Beryl
You could try increasing the intensity of your exercise routine.
