Talking Newbie from Portland, OR

Hello to my fellow weight loosers!

I thought I would follow suit and introduce myself.

My name is Danee, and I am a looser. I have tried almost everything that has come across my path... with some success - but always would gain it back. Now, I believe my ship has come in. I am SO EXCITED!!!

I was watching an infomercial... something about colon cleansing. The 2 things that caught my attention: it would help me to not get the headaches that I regularly had... and it would help me loose weight.

I got online (as I am known to do - I am an "Info-maniac" as my DH puts it.) and did many searches. Reading about a most unpleasant subject. But the more I learned... the more it made sense! Somehow my search sent me to an Isagenix website. My DH & I decided to give it a try and after a "9 Day Cleanse" he had lost 16.5# and 11.75 " and I had lost 12.5# and 13"!! We are going on a cruise in 32 days... just maybe I will look/feel good about wearing a bathing suit!

My stats:

Age: 41
Start weight 10/01/05: 199.5
After 1st Cleanse10/10/05 187

YEAH!!! I look forward to being supported and supporting others on all of our individual journeys to Thinville!

I saw that infomercial too. I was tempted to try it, but have fallen into false promises too many times. Hearing that you actually lost on it though makes me want to get it now! Keep me posted on how the weight stays off for you. Do you have to continue with the cleanse on a regular basis now or what?? I wish you the best of luck with your weight loss. And hey, you lucky little lady, have fun on your cruise!!!!

Wow Wonderwoman! Our stats are so close! But I thought a goal of 135 was aggressive. Seeing yours at 125 - Dang! I haven't been THAT small since I was 17!!! Could I possibly see that # again? Hey... if you can, maybe I can too!

Thanks for the welcome!

Honeybee - As for the infomercial, I ended up NOT ordering that product. I was unsure because it was something to take daily for a month, then take a month off, then take for another month, etc. I knew that just taking a pill to clean out the junk... was not a long term fix for me because I would keep putting more "junk" in. It did get me thinking that cleansing was a good idea, but I wanted more. Then I found Isagenix. It not only cleansed the colon, but eliminated the toxins from our bodies which allows the fat cells to let go of the extra fat! I know we aren't supposed to advertise here, so if you want a website, PM me.

They have 3 programs. The "9 Day Cleanse" is what we did. There is also a "30 Day" cleanse that is pretty much the same, but more moderate of a loss. Then when at goal, we will begin the "Maintenance Program" to stay healthy (and of course - Thin!).
