Extremely desperate to lose weight...

At the moment, I'm 5'8, 230 lb. I lost 17 lbs. in 2006 coming down from 247, but have remained at 230 ever since december last year. I'm absolutely desperate now to lose weight, and in this past year I've been exercising more consistently than I ever have and eating conscientiously, but I'm remaining within 230-232, no matter what I do it just won't budge. Especially in recent times, I'm on 1800 calories per day (taking 500 off of 2300, for the supposed 1lb per week lost), along with 30 mins minimum of cardio at least 4 times per week, but nothing's happening and just very recently I'm starting to become VERY frustrated. Something is missing here.

hum, yea your right, if your excersizing and eating 1800 cals, I don't know why it wouldn't come off. Are you writing down what your eating?? Those little things do tend to add up!! I'd do that if you arn't already!

Just keep at it hun, and stay w/ us here, we'll help you through it!!

Weight Loss Plateau

Hi! I can relate to your frustration...Although you are doing loads of cardio, you may want to switch up your exercise routine too. You could try increasing your cardio by 15 minutes, increase the intensity and/or switch up on the type of cardio your doing (ex. interval training, 15 minutes on eliptical and 15 minutes on treadmill, etc..) Sometimes the body gets bored. I hope this helps!

Best wishes!
