I just came across this forum and loved reading some posts already. It's great to find a place that is so supportive and encouraging.
My name is Kate. I am a mom, a student, and temporarily overweight. Well, actually I always seem to be overweight or slightly overweight. I just want to get to the point where I can look in the mirror and say "This is it! This is my most healthiest and best!"
Hope to get connected with some people that would like to start a weight loss challenge, or support team. I think if we work together, we could all reach our goals.

I'm also new to this forum. I really want to stop being "just somewhat overweight" (but actually more like significantly overweight if you consult BMI.) I need to change my way of life for good so that I can be a good role model for my kids both in the way I eat/feel about food, and in the way I feel about myself! So glad to meet ya!

We are completely on the same level about wanting to be a good role model for the kids. My daughter is still young, and I keep telling myself that she eats well (which she generally does right now) but unless I change my habits, she will probably take them on. It is one of my biggest motivations.
