Struggle to be me again

I' ve always had a weight problem since i was a kid...but it was always a matter of 3 to 6kg max(6 to 12lbs) that it took me a months or 2 to get rid of the extras...i never allowed my self to get abov that level. my mom was a great helper too since she was diabetic she didn't want me to be on her steps.i took a job where i have to be always in a good shape and slim so it helped me maintain my weight so evrybody was happy until the day i got married...my life changed.i was always thinking that i can control my weight whenever i want to...the biggest mistake i made is that i got pregnant with exta kilos and got pregnant again 6months after my 1st baby was born.i ended up adding 25kg (50lbs)to my original weight.
i'll say it straight forward no fat man or woman is a happy person...if somebody says so they' re lying to themslves...it takes me 3 to 5 sec to get up from a chair .when i' m playing with my son i'm breathless in minutes, even if i buy large clothes it doesn't hide the layers of fat...no need to mention the sexe life...
i decided to be me again, i started diet and exercice 10 days ago,it feels so good when i wake up ine the morning lighter everyday even if its 0.000001 kg less. i lost so far 3kg (6lbs) ...i have a moments of weakness but i'm struggling ,yesterday we were invited to a restaurant with other 2couples i ordered a salad and a shish tawouk(grilled chicken) i was proud of myself ,i'm also keeping a box of my favorite french pastry in the fridge since 4days juste to challenge my self ...1st 2days i was really tempted but now when i open the fridge i hardly notice it...
finally i wish a good luck to all those who are struggling like me its a long way but i know it can be done.

Great job! When people have a hard time getting around, it's a real wake up call. Remember that thin/average weight doesn't necessary equal healthy.

It's good that you can resist the pastries. When I did Atkins several years ago, one of the big mental battles was not snagging fries from my co-workers lunches... For me, being able to resist was a sign of my commitment.

I think you might be setting yourself up for a bit of a disappointment if you do give in to that temptation, so you may want to consider giving yourself a pat on the back and tossing those pastries in the garbage. Have you grown out of a pair of pants yet? Get rid of those too, you won't be needing those anymore, right?

While I totally applaud your decision to control your weight and exercise, I have to disagree with you on your assertion that no fat man or woman is a happy person. I've always been a bright and optimistic person, innately cheerful, very confident, and not ever very self-conscious even at my heaviest. (I'm aware that this makes me somewhat of an exception to the rule, but exceptions to the rule make the rule inaccurate.)

I've also always been a little overweight. So as far as happiness goes, I definitely think it's an individual thing. There *are* happy fat people out there. They just happen to have self esteem which is not just tied to their physical appearance, but into all facets of their existence as a unique individual with innate gifts and talent.

I do think that overweight people have a greater tendency to have self esteem issues, but I don't think that makes them necessarily unhappy, and I definitely don't think happy fat people are lying to themselves.

You are you, no matter if you weigh 150 pounds or 350. You're still the same person, no matter what you weigh. It's your beliefs, aspirations, dreams, ethics, and general impact on the world which really count in the long run, whether you're carrying around a few extra pounds or not.

Personally, I think it's overweight people (and people who are fit as a fiddle) who have issues with these other, equally important arenas in their life who allow themselves to become unhappy.

Getting fit and looking good should be considered the act of allowing your inner happiness to reflect in your outer appearance, not an attempt to find happiness in the first place.

Good luck!!

MUSCLE PAIN:

I mess myself up when I have muscle pain or feel very tired... I think that eating lots more will cure it. It won't cure it. Sugar won't cure it. It's a trap I fall into, don't fall into it yourself. Pretty please?

SICK:

If you have a fever, stop working out until you think the illness is retreating. Working out can help kick out the last vestiges of an illness, but if you workout when the illness is in high gear, you will make it worse.

Stick to a plan, add a reasonable number of calories (like maybe 300-400 per day) until your fever goes away and your whole body muscle pain goes away. Your whole body should not be in pain (unless you're doing weights and not used to it, but not for treadmill). I once fasted for 3 days, during the second day I got through my hunger, during the third day my whole body hurt and I ended the fast. Your muscles aren't able to repair themselves if your whole body hurts.

If it's just your legs, rest until the fever goes down and then resume.

Don't let illness keep you from your goal!

thank you paydirt for your suport, your advice was a great help.
what i had was minor cold i took medicine after i woke up it was all gone.
i resumed my diet and exercice .
yesterday we went to starbucks i took a latte with skimmed milk,my husband took a cheesecake he left half of it on the plate. it was calling me(eat me,eat me) finally i covered it with the empty mug...i discoverd that temptation can easily find u if ur stomach is empty.so i decided whenever i go out i will fill my hand bag with apples.
my scale went crazy ,it read 85kg ,i wanted to make sure i tired again:90kg then 88kg so i threw it.i need to buy another one.
if i continue on the same pattern i will be in a good shape.
lets wait and see...

it can be done

yesterday i wrote my diary but when i wanted to post it it went blank,so i decided i'm too tired to write again.you see the good thing about this program is that i get too tired from the exercice i sleep like a baby not like b4 when i use to watch tv and open the fridge 10times looking 4 something to eat...
but instead i went for all the b4 and after pics..and wow...i give a big BRAVO for those who won the battle and those still on the way. it gave me motivation more than ever.IT CAN BE DONE...

for me still no scale.i dont know how much i'm loosing but when i wear my clothes i feel they're loose...

exept for the one spoon of lasagna i coocked and one french frie i stole from my son's plate this is what i had:

breakfastrange juice+cereals+non fat milk+coffee
lunch:grilled ground beef+salad
diner:2toasts+low fat cheddar+tomatoes
snacks:rice cakes+orange juice+apples

i took my son for a 1h30min walk i decided thats it for today then when i got home i did the treadmill anyway:10jogging+5walking for45min
i dont know if its enough but thats my max.

nothing special ...

Don't workout too hard and lose your will. Also try not to eat sugary foods when you're tired--thinking that they will help energize you. One spoon of lasagna and one fry won't hurt. Sounds like your meal plan is perfectly sensable, just make sure you're getting enough.

i still dont know how much i weigh now...lol.its a sweet torture hoping for a nice surprise .tomorrow i'm definitely geeting a scale... yesterday i did not exercice instead i went to beauty saloon,i need to take care of myself from time 2 time...it felt great.

still hoding on,1200 calories diet i can handle some do not agree but i find ok for now...see when my dietiton calculated my daily intake it was like 2500to 2800.i dont like chips, hate fast food wich i find tasteless,i dont go to supermaket looking for ice cream...its not on my grocery list.but i have bad habits :
-not taking breakfast and start the eating in the evening.
-eating lot of bread any sort any kind with butter,jam,cheese,peanut... i just love BREAD
-no exercices...i use to eat the same amount b4 i got fat but i was always on the move,i use to swim
-cooking fatening meals.
i'm trying to change these nasty habits...
so far so good...

Did your dietitian tell you what you should be eating too? Not only how much.

Your diet looks a bit short-changed in some of the essentials.

she gave me a diet plan,i can subtitute some elements with others...like
meat:chicken breast, steak or low fat fish
breakfast:cereals or bread
dairy products:low fat cheese, skimmed milk or skimmed yogurt
she also specified the amoount...its funny to use a scale to weight my steak or cup for my rice but she told me quantity its very important...

so i'm following what she's said...i really need to loose weight.
