Rep Power: 945 | | | No, seriously how in the world do i get yo do it! So, ive been struggling with this for quite some time. Funny thing is, Im not overweight...not by much anyway. Im 10 lbs over what I should/want to be....but thats for the last 10 years! I have ALWAYS wanted to lose those 10 stubborn annoying lbs, and I just cant do it! The closest i got was when I went to bootcamp three years ago, I lost 5 lbs, and I must say i looked and felt really good.
Now...by CANT do it i mean, i cant get myself motivated enough to do it. I KNOW I could possibly lose those lbs in 2 months if I disciplined myself to exercise regularly and eat well, but ughhh i get SO frustrated with myself! I start doing something like, ok Im gonna work three times a week...i start, go twice and then something comes up and I never go the third time. So then I start again with something else...but never follow thru...HOW. IN. THE. WOOOORLLLDDD. CAN I GET MYSELF PROPERLY MOTIVATED TO ACTUALLY STICK TO SOMETHING!!!!
As you can tell im good and done being frustrated and I have come here to seek for inspiration and ideas and i dont even know...i just NEED TO, HAVE TO, MUST get myself to do this.
Did any of you had this problem? if so how did you get thru it???
Im 5ft 113lbs...I know i shouldnt even complain (and maybe this is why its so hard to push myself since im not ridiculously heavy) but I really really want to get fit, not only for how i look but also how i feel.
Any advice?? |

| The context of this problem is different in my own life. Yet, the feeling is the same. Throughout most of my life I have had problems "getting and staying motivated".
Because I suffer from the same thing I can't give you much advise. But, I hope someone does give you some. Might help me as well. Anyway, I know how you feel.

You just said you cannot do it, so you will not do it. Until you believe that you can do it, you will not do it. Either it is not important enough to you for you to commit to doing this, or you do not believe that you can do it. We can do anything that we commit ourselves whole-heartedly to doing. As far as levels of commitment, I think you are at the Hoping & Wishing that things were different, or maybe Committed Unless... Do you care enough about your health and fitness that you would commit Today (right now) to be Committed Whatever It Takes? |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Hello HowdoI Being within 10 pounds of what you want is wonderful. I hope to be there later this year. Have you thought of joining a group like WeightWatchers where you would have a support group? Maybe it would help you to get motivated, be accountable or someithing to get rid of those last 10 pounds.
I wish you well with it. |

Motivation is something that comes from within for most people.. she has to want to do it.. it's her ambivelance that's stopping her right now.
internatl conversation:
I want to lose 10lbs
but i don't look that bad right now
i want to lose 10lbs
I'mnot really overweight and look good
oh whatever
she has to decide in her head whether she wants to or not...
